Divine Thoughts – 327 – Gurukulavasa

Periyava’s emphasis on gurukulavasa was made in 1960s perhaps. This system practically doesn’t exist anymore. However, I do know few places where this is being followed. Those are absolutely selfless gurus. I have seen the vidhyarthis growing in the guru’s place and the guru’s family treating them like their own children. It is amazing to see such things today. As we started moving into cities, these kind of great practices also have faded away…Like Periyava said, we can pray for more of such selfless gurus help reviving such great traditions.

Hara Hara Sankara Jaya Jaya Sankara!

  2. Sri Ramanshram Vedha Patasala at Tiruvannamalai, Sri Sri Senthilnatha Ganapadigal as Guru and Vidhyarthis of the Patashla are an outstanding examples of ‘Gurukula Vedha Adhyayanam’…..

Sri Sri Gowrishankar Mama as a Vedha Vidwan, known and Graced by Sri Sri Paramacharya, with His Anugraham and blessings made Sri Sri Senthilnatha Ganapadigal as a great Vedha Guru. Blessings of Sri Bagawan Ramana and Sri Paramacharya made him as GURU at the Holy Ashram, the abode of Ramana

Jaya Jaya Shankara, Hara Hara Shankara
