பசுவைப் பேணிக் காப்பது ஸர்வ பலன்களையும் அளிக்கும் பரம புண்யம். இதைச் சொல்லும் கையோடேயே அதைப் புறக்கணிப்பது சாபங்களை வாங்கித் தரும் மஹா பாபம் என்பதற்கும் ஆதாரமிருப்பதைச் சொல்லாமலிருக்க முடியவில்லை. ஸுர்ய வம்சத்திலே வந்த மஹாத்மாவான ராஜா திலீபன் வாழ்க்கையில் இரண்டுக்கும் சான்று இருக்கிறது. அவர் தேவலோகம் சென்றிருந்தபோது காமதேனுவை ப்ரதக்ஷிணம் செய்யாமல் வந்து விடுகிறார். அந்தத் தப்புக்காக அவருக்கு ஸந்ததி வாய்க்காது என்று சாபம் ஏற்படுகிறது. சாப நிவ்ருத்தி என்றும் ஒன்று உண்டே! அது என்ன? அந்தக் காமதேனுவின் கன்றான நந்தினி, ஸுர்ய வம்சத்தின் குலகுரு வஸிஷ்டரிடம் இருக்கிறது. வஸிஷ்டர் சொன்னதின் பேரில் அதற்கு ஒரு மாட்டுக்காரன் செய்வதை விட பக்தியுடன் திலீபன் மேய்த்து கட்டி, குளிப்பாட்டிவிட்டு, இன்னும் எல்லாக் கைங்கர்யமும் செய்கிறார். பத்னி ஸுதக்ஷிணையுடன் சேர்ந்து அப்படிப் பண்ணுகிறார். சாபம் நிவ்ருத்தி ஆகிறது. சாபம் நிவ்ருத்தியாகி ஏதோ ஒரு சாமானியப் பிள்ளை பிறந்தது என்றில்லாமல் ஸுர்யவம்சத்துக்கு ரகு வம்சம் என்றே இன்னொரு பெயர் ஏற்படும்படியான பெருமைகள் நிறைந்த ரகு திலீபனுக்குப் புத்ரனாகப் பிறந்தவன் தான். அப்புறம் பகவானே ரகுராமனாக அவதாரம் செய்யவும் அதுவே அடிப்படை.

adiyen got blessed by Sri Gho mata in several ways in life recently with Gho dhooli snanam too.., thanks to Sri Gho mata and Sri Mahaperiyavaa who instilled the 2 taraka mantras, Gho samrakshana and Veda Samrakshana.. its because of God in his acharya roopam that he stopped and pulled me to these 2 services.. in Sri Vishnu Purana, there is a saying that Sri Krishna is hitan(doer of good) to Gho and Brahmanas, ‘ namo brahmanya devaya Gho Brahmanya hitayacha, jagat hitaya Krishnaya Govindaya Namo Namaha’, we recite this as part of Sandhi.. I realized the meaning only by grace of Sri Mahaswamy.
Absolutely Shri. Vijay, Periyava explains this Gho Brahmanaya slokam in the coming chapters as well. Great to see you participate in those 2 critical services as ordained by the master. Pray we all collectively unite together and do more of this and make a positive change. HH Bala Periyava beautifully says this as a move forward movement (Munnetram) and not a revolutionary (Puratchi) movement. Ram Ram.
Dear Sri Sai Srinivasan ji, many thanks for your wishes. I sincerely pray to Sri Gho matha, Sri Godadevi and Sri Mahaperiyavaa to make this sacred project of Sri Periyavaas a grand success. What ever small adiyen could do, it would be a great punya and a Krishnaarpanam in this great munnetram.

27. To nurture the cow and protect it is great punya which will give all benefits. To neglect it is a great sin which will invite curse and there is proof for this. There is proof for both in the life of Dilipan who was a king of the Solar dynasty. When he went to Devalokam, he returned without going round Kamadenu. For this mistake, he got a curse that he will not have progeny.
There is always a remedy for a curse. The calf of that Kamadenu, Nandini was with Vasishta, the Kulaguru of the Solar dynasty. On being told by Vasishta, Dilipan took Nandini for grazing, gave it a bath and rendered other forms of service. He did all this along with his wife Sudakshina. The curse was remedied. He got a child who was to become Raghu and the Solar dynasty itself was to take his name as Raghuvamsam.
