பக்தன் ஒருவன் கோயிலுக்குச் சென்றான். அவனது கூடையில் ஆண்டவனுக்குச் சமர்ப்பிப்பதற்காக வாழைப்பழம், தேங்காய், கற்பூரம் ஆகியன இருந்தன.
தேங்காய் பேச ஆரம்பித்தது: ”நம் மூவரில் நானே கெட்டியானவன், பெரியவனும்கூட!” என்றது. அடுத்து வாழைப்பழம், ”நமது மூவரில் நானே இளமையானவன், இனிமையானவன்” என்று பெருமைப்பட்டுக் கொண்டது. கற்பூரமோ எதுவும் பேசாமல் மௌனம் காத்தது.
பக்தன் சந்நிதியை அடைந்தான். தேங்காய் உடைபட்டது. பழத்தோல் உரிக்கப்பட்டது. கற்பூரமோ தீபம் ஏற்றியதும் கரைந்து ஒன்றும் இல்லாமல் போனது.
பக்தர்களாகிய நாம் இதிலிருந்து ஒன்றை நன்றாகப் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். நாம் தேங்காய் போல் கர்வத்துடன் இருந்தால், ஒருநாள் நிச்சயம் உடைபடுவோம். இனிமையாக இருந்தாலும், வாழைப்பழம் போல் தற்பெருமை பேசித் திரிந்தால் ஒருநாள் கிழிபடுவோம். ஆனால் கற்பூரம் போல் அமைதியாக இருந்துவிட்டால், இருக்கும் வரை ஓளிவீசி இறுதியில் மீதமின்றி இறைவனோடு இரண்டறக் கலந்து போவோம்.
As Periyava said, let us be humble and one day with these mahans’ blessings, we will get what we are seeking.

Maha Periyava, like camphor, gave us all Light and merged imperceptibly with Paramatman! Can we live like Him? Hara Hara Shankara, Jaya Jaya Shankara!

Dear Blessed Devottees… Translation by a novice… Learned people apologise me for ‘ignorance’
“A Bakthan went to Temple.. In his basket Coconut, Banana & Camphor were there as offering to God.
Coconut Started talking… Out of all the three I am solid and bigger too… Then Banana said, out of all the three of us, I am young and sweet too… But Camphor kept quiet.
Bakathan reached Bagavan Sannithi (Sanctoram)… Coconut was broken, Banana was peeled… Camphor after lighting disolved and became non existant.
We devotees should understand onething from this. If we are like Coconut with Ego, one day we will be broken. Even if we are sweet, like Banana if keep talking about self pride, (not SELF of realised) we will be torn one day. However, if we are like Camphor, we will glitter with light till we exist and finally will become non-existant and get absorbed into God”
