Thanks to Shri Guruvayurappan for a detailed write-up and rare information on anna and mahaperiyava. I am curious to know about the breaking news on the upcoming Mahaperiyava manimandapam in NJ. I hope someone will update me on that!
H.H. Sri Maha Perivaa’s 21st Aradhana Celebrated in Sri Krishna Vrundavana on 20th December 2014.
If anybody thinks that he/she is a devotee of Sri Maha Perivaa – that devotee would also be thanking Anna Sri Ra. Ganapati for knowing more about Sri Maha Perivaa. When Anna Ra. Ganapati turned 60 (in Sep 1995), Sri Maha Perivaa honored him for his Sashtiabdapoorthy in a unique way. Sri Maha Perivaa appeared in the dream of Sri Balu mama (presently known as Sri Swaminathanendra Saraswathi Swamigal) & by sign language told him to take Sri Matam Prasadams from Their Holiness to Anna Ra. Ganapati. The same Sri Maha Perivaa chose in His Own Way to honor Anna Sri Ra. Ganapati in the 21st Aradhana for his 80th Jayanthi celebrations in Sri Krishna Vrundavana, Edison NJ on 20th December 2014. Read more about Sri Maha Perivaa’s Leela!
Sri Maha Perivaa chose Lakshmi Anand (daughter of Anna Ra. Ganapati’s own sister) & Anand Sahasram & their daughters to do the 21st Aradhana Puja in Edison, NJ! What a Blessing to the family!
After Paduka Abishekam & Puja was over Lakshmi, Anand & the daughters were honored with Sri Matam Prasadams.
Afterwards the family was presented with a ring binder in the front cover with the photo of H.H. Sri Perivaa Blessing Anna Ra. Ganapati in Feb 1996, at the release of “கருணைக் காஞ்சி கனகதாரை” (book by Anna Ra. Ganapati) at Sri Matam & at the back cover with the cover pages of the two books (கருணைக் காஞ்சி கனகதாரை & மைத்ரீம் பஜதே) that were brought out immediately after Sri Maha Perivaa’s Mukti! Inside the binder were a bunch of interesting letters (all in original form dated back 1995 to 2000) written by Anna Ra. Ganapati at various occasions to a devotee, with the very first letter itself explaining how Anna wrote that two books written about Sri Maha Perivaa were ready for publishing & why they were waiting for! The folder was presented to the family by Sankar Mahadevan of New Jersey. It was for Sankar’s marriage to Jayasree Vedamurthy in Aug 1995 for which Anna came to T. Nagar (Lakshmi Anand’s house) from Tondairpet. That was the place & time Sri Maha Perivaa did the Sankalpam for the two books to come out, which was prioritized by even pushing the work of Deivathin Kural 7th & Volume book which was in final stages after 3 years of hard work!

The Aradhana event was highlighted with the surprise visit by Dr. Narayanaswamy of Maryland. The organizing volunteers had no clue that he was attending the event (as he was on his way to NYC to see his nephew)! Dr. Narayanaswamy was the very first person who started Sri Matam Puja in USA (at Maryland) in May 1993 (when Sri Maha Perivaa was alive) to celebrate H.H. 100th Jayanthi! That was the first state to start in USA, since then to date about ten states or more are celebrating Sri Matam Pujas! Sri Maha Perivaa brought him to this Aradhana, when the most important breaking news was conveyed about the upcoming Paduka Mantapam in New Jersey when the Aradhana celebrations were going on full swing in Edison, New Jersey! Dr. Narayanaswamy was honored at the event with the Sri Matam Prasadams for initiating all of us to Sri Matam functions!

Hello Mahesh: As a trustee of Sanatana Dharma Foundation of NJ, (which is planning to build Paduka Mantapam but whom Sri Maha Perivaa has in mind to build – we don’t know with the latest development that happened last week, which made the chairman of SDF to skip attending both the Aradhana Celebrations in NJ – on 18th at Skillman & on 20th at Edison), if you &/or other trustees have not heard it yet, you all should probably make a call to the office bearers for the latest update.
LOL! Last time I checked, there is no such position in the trust. An individual missing an event is not even a news – let alone breaking.. Hopefully in another 6-8 weeks or so, there will be a real breaking news…Hope Periyava will make that happen.
You’re right absolutely, Mahesh! That’s not even a news – let alone breaking! What made him that to happen is the greatest one! As he’s not considered just as an individual as you may think! Please check up with your SDF team (if at all they or even anyone is made aware), as lack of transparency is the core problem in SDF, which is going to complicate – please don’t expect Perivaa to do any Miracle in this, if we don’t follow the basic principles. Wait & Watch!
