When I started drawing Periava’s portrait in 1996, it was not as easy as drinking a cup of coffee ! But was as tough as preparing ‘Vella Kozakkattai’ with the correct proportion of jaggery, coconut and rice flour and the correct ‘patham’ for ‘vellap paaku’ !
He is only doing all these and I happen to be an instrument in His hand. Without His Anugraham, this would not have been possible. In the nineties and early 2000, every time I take the pencil to draw His portrait, a hesitation, fear and lack of confidence will rise in my mind. I used to read and re–read Ra.Ganapathy anna’s books and that made the difference. A total surrender to HIS holy feet and absolute devotion are necessary.
