It is exactly an year since HH Mettur Swamigal attained Siddhi. We all dearly miss HH Mettur Swamigal. Sri Shivaraman had compiled a nice video as a tribute to Swamigal. Shivaraman told me that Swamigal even in His last few days/hours was talking about gho rakshanam. He wanted north american devotees to setup ghosala locally here to take care of old cows. He was so glad to hear about upcoming Periyava manimandapam idea in US and blessed immensely. Selfishly thinking, I wish Swamigal were here in sthoola sareera to hear that through this blog we have rescued almost all the cows from being slaughtered. I am sure He is watching us and will bless all of us for having a great satsung here in this blog…..Let us all do a namaskaram to swamigal on this day!

Mahesh I have a request embedded in the message. I’m touched by Sri Mettur Swamigal guru bakthi and cried on Deepavali 2013 on hearing the news of his siddhi. In fact I wanted to have his darshan on hearing about him from the blogspot and I might have seen him in his poorvasrama as a faithful servant ( Should be Nandigeswarar ) of our Mahaperiyaval who is Parameswara himself.
Now I have a request to make to Shivaraman. Sir can you subtitle every word of Sri Mettur Swamigal as I am not able to understand some of the word Shri Mettur Periyava even when I listen with my head phones on.

Tribute to HH Mettur Swamigal is indeed a real tribute and we were really blessed to hear Swamigal’s voice. infact through your blog we are coming to know about so many great people about whom we are not aware. In the video by Sri Sivaraman the background song (Satanchita mutanchita nikunchita padam chala chalam) is excellent, i tried to find that song on net but could not, may i request you to kindly post that song.

Praying to Sri Mahaperiyavaa to give us more opportunities to be at the service of Veda Samrakshana & Gho Samrakshana activities in this year too.
Double happy to hear that all the cows were saved in the olakkudi case.
As you point out, it would be the best sambhavanai to Sri Mahaswamy on his mani mandapam inauguration in setting up a gho samrakshana / gho shala trust and organize and contribute in saving our native cows from going into extinction.
I remember, Sri Mahaswamy did the same for his Satabhisehka trust for Veda Samrakshana & supporting vedic brahmins.
I hope this mani mandapam @ US will also start branches in all continents and support our Vedic cause all around the world under the umbrella of Sri Maha Periyavaa.
A small request,
Yourself, Sri Sivaraman and team have been doing a yeoman service in bringing out the first hand reports of all the incidents in ‘Deivathin Kural’ from authentic sources.
A humble thought, while constructing the mani mandapam, if we can focus on getting video conferencing / skype access, then many can benefit by direct interaction with Vedic pundits here in India, most of whom are very old to travel outside India.
I remember some of the Vedic brahmins that your team interviewed shed so much insight into such rare events like ‘Kal – vaiththa – vaaram’, ‘Hanumath upasana’, ‘Bala devi upasana’, etc.,
It would benefit if those skype sath sangs can also be telecast in our ‘Periyavatv’ in youtube.
