Be it ‘Mooka kavi’ – a speech impaired person from birth. He was regularly visiting ‘Kamakshi’ temple and was prostrating before the goddess. One day He saw the lips of the goddess and after that he started to speak and wrote ‘Mooka Pancha Sati’. This ‘mooka kavi’ later became one of the Acharyas of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.
Such “Divine Interventions” repeat itself at various times in various places…
Here are some of our known examples::
- Sri Venkatarama Iyer , an employee in railways, believed our Maha Periyava as Pratyaksha Parameswara and hence never failed to have darshan of Him during Pradosham, every fortnight, for many years, wherever His Holiness was camping at that time. He was affectionately called as Pradosham Mama by fellow devotees . “Kanchi Mahaswami Satabdhi Mani Mandapam” – Pradhosham Mama’s dream Project turned into a concrete (or rather Granite) reality. It is one of the greatest architectural marvel in this century adorning “Orikkai” – a village few kilometers away from Kanchipuram …
- Sri Vikku Vinayakaram mama started as a Ghatam Vidwan doing “Upa Pakka Vaadhyam” for many concerts. With Maha Periyava Anugraham, an accompaniment artist created a revolution in the field of percussion through Ghatam and became a Maestro giving a world renowned recognition to “Ghatam” – the most ancient percussion instruments of South India!!! He became a Grammy Award–winning Indian percussionist… Periyava’s blessings yields him award after award (PadmaSri, Padma Bhushan…) year after year…
- Smt Mahalakshmi mami comes from a middle-class family. She is a retired school librarian. She has done Punarudaaranams & Kumbabishekams of many temples and continues such a significant task crossing ocean of hurdles…Even maharajas have not done as many punarudaaranams as mami did!
- Sri Shivaraman , a humble devotee of Sri Maha Periyava & Sri Sivan Sar – He who brought hundreds of divine experiences of MahaPeriyava to our household… A man behind the camera yet very close to the heart of many devotees who talk about the unexplainable impacts that his videos have created…When he started this noble journey of capturing experiences, he never thought that this is going to be remotely possible – identifying devotees, travel to various places, managing the cost, way to spread this to all…Once he left those mundane worries to the brothers (!), things started to unfold so favorably. It has been 3+ years, I guess, this noble service is continuing from Shivaraman…

In all these examples, focus on these common people than on Periyava! The lesson for us is right in front of us…All of them, while doing a Periyava karyam, never trusted on their strength/powers/decisions. If Mr Prakash had not called the White House thinking that it was a holiday/war time in US, why bother calling anyone? – then things would have happened differently….He rather put faith on one word “Divine Force” from Dr Badri and the impossibles became absolutely easy. This is divine intervention happens to committed devotees!

Scintillating episode. Great Blessing to the participants in the episode by Maha Periyava! He has said that when one attempts good deeds to help others, many will voluntarily help. That is what has happened. Hara Hara Shankara, Jaya Jaya Shankara!
i am speechless….Periyava’s grace makes impossible things possible…
Ennipadigalil manthargal – roughly quoted – when highly evolved souls (mahans) are facing some situations divinity takes full charge of the situation.
That Sivan sir has written what our deiyva madham is all about and what is possible for reliased souls makes me sit up whenever I read or hear about such events in our periyavas era. Another example that comes up to my mind is when there was no food article for cooking in the madam for feeding Periyavas devotees, when he was in camp in Andhra long ago. The Madams adhikari was worried and expressing his concern to Periyava who only remarked that he need not be concrened and that Ambal will take care and within small intreval of time the stock in madams ugrana ull was overflowing with supplies from the farmers of the locality!

PS :- there is no after periyava era as he is still alive and his devotees will see his grace unfolding for a long time to come
