Sthoobi Visit

It is more than 4 years since I came to know about the sthoobhi that was built near Sri Kanchi Matam but never was fortunate enough to visit. I know Shri simpson Vaitha mama had spent lot of time and effort to build this and running a veda patasala etc. This time, I was lucky to go there. It is an amazing place. This is my exact vision of how a Periyava padhuka mandapam should be built in US.Shri Vaitha mama already did this!!! A large hall with so many photos and a golden mandapam where Periyava is sitting with all the grace towards us…I am sure most of you would have visited this place….I am probably the last to go there 🙁

There is a large life-size wax statue of Periyava. I stood in front of Him and pretended like He is looking at me and blessing 🙂

Brahmasri Chandramouli Srouthigal was there and talked to us a lot about his experience. Shivaraman had recorded this video and soon it will be shared with all of us…It is such an amazing experience that mama had – we felt blessed to hear from him directly. It was a yathi mahalayam day and we were fortunate enough to receive the blessings of the vaideekas in the patasala followed by such a delicious lunch!

Along with us came shri Chandrasekhar mama and mami who does video editing of all devotees experience…It was a good combination all the three of us – who records, who edits and who publishes in one place…I took a shot of both Shivaraman and mama – didnt want to miss the opportunity of them being together….
