Shri Sriram sent me this email today and sharing the whole email to you all….
Dear Mahesh,
Namaskarams. I am a regular follower of your blog and am totally impressed by the work you are doing. May Mahaperiyava shower his blessings on you to carry on the great work. I want to share Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Choladesia Oordwashikha Bhikshavandana (KKPCOB) Trust’s bhikashavandanam invitation with our Mahaperiayava devotees and thought your blog would be the right place to do it. This Trust has been performing bhikshavandanam to our Periyavas for the last 25 years and my grandfather is one of the trustees. Mahaperiyava had asked him to start a bhikshavandanam trust and perform bikshavandanam to the Acharyas.
Every year bhikshavandanam is being performed on an Anusham day during chaturmasyam. This year it has been planned for 2ndSeptember 2014.
Please find attached the following: a) detailed note on what is bhikshavandanam and how the KKPCOB Trust was started and b) this year’s bhikshavandanam invitation.
We request all devotees to participate and get our Acharyas’ blessings.
Thank you very much.
Regards,
Sriram S

ஊர்த்வ ஷிகா என்றால் ‘மேல் நோக்கிய சிகை’ அதாவது சுவாமி மலையில் பண்டிதர்கள் ஒரு விதமாக மேல் நோக்கி முடியும் குடுமி என்று எண்ணுகிறேன் . இது சம்பந்தமாக யாரவது சிறிது விளக்கினால் நன்றாக இருக்கும் . { I think oordhva shika means a trye of tightening kudumi towards upward. Can some body clarify the system behind this please ?}
Dear mahesh…..can u put articles of Mahaperiyava by baraneedaran or ra.ganapathi…..
whatever articles i have received – i have published..that covers both of them, i guess….if anyone could give me some pointers, that would be great….
I read this history of Poova Sikal Bikshavandha Trust. At that time Shri Periyava to give the title to Shri Krishna Premi is “Athma Bhandhu”.
I requested to Shri Sivaraman sir to interview Shri Krishna Premi.
Thanks for uploading
