I regret to inform that Shri NV Mama reached the lotus feet of Mahaperiyava and Lord Rama on August 6th
He was doing his daily pooja. When , after the abhishekam he took Sri Anjaneya Swami and was holding on his hand , collapsed on Sri Rama Pattabisheka photo. That was a ekadasi ( Aug 6th 2014 ) day with moola nakshatram (Anjaneya swami star). The same day during Dwadasi, mama was cremated.
Mama left us on Ekadasi maranam and same day dwadasi thahanam in moola nakshatram doing pooja holding Sri Anjaneya swami in hand and collapsed on Srirama pattabishekam. Oh What a blessing !!!
We all can remember how he sang emotionally in his Periyava experience video . Aneka koti Namaskaram to this Sri Mahaperiyava devotee.
Asking for no birth again may be too much. Asking for an end like this is the least we should hope for. This is the 3rd blessed ends that I could remember..
(1) Shri Chettiar – Had his last breath AFTER he entered into Kanchipuram limits (as said by Periyava)
(2) Smt Jayam Paati – Left this world after chanting “Sadgurunatha” and while watching Vyasa Puja at Matam
(3) Shri NV mama
May be there are more such incidents that I am not aware of.
There is an uprising thought that one can achieve moksha without doing karma. This one incident is a solid proof that karma can also take you to moksha. Holding Lord Anjaneya on one hand and falling on the feet of Lord Rama – who will get?! This is what Mahaperiyava had talked so much. How can Periyava be wrong? We are wrong – we always take short-cuts. Unfortunately there are more spiritual gurus who sadly encourage such thoughts….Let us learn from mama to have bakthi, do our nithya puja and other karmanushtanas properly and leave the rest to Lord Rama and Periyava.

What a Bhagyam. Moksham on Mahaperiyava’s feet and our Lord Rama’s feet. It is an inspiration for all of us to follow the paths led by such great people. One day we can too achieve APPA’S feet if we do our karma sincerely as said by him. Periyava Sranam !

1. Sri Ponds Mama attaining Siddhi on Guru Poornima.
2. Sri Ra. Ganapathi Anna reached Periyava’s lotus feet on Maha Sivarathiri after first Kala Pooja.
I pray to Periyava he grants me something similar though I’m not even fit to grovel at these divine souls feet.

I am very saddened to hear about the passing away of Shri NV Mama. He was my math teacher and I used to visit him every year I went to India. He used to share the sweets that he used to receive from home for lunch. A great soul! May his soul rest in peace!

NV mama’s end is really NV-able. the other soul who had such a peaceful end is our mother Saraswathi Amma.
at the age of 80. She had served food for all at night. Early morning informed she was feeling giddi. Lied in the lap of her grand daughter (my wife) and uttered name Sri Ramachandra….requested Him to take her to His Louts fee’ And Ramachandra granted her wish in minutes.
