I regret to inform you all that Shri Kanakadhara mama reached lotus feet of Periyava last week. One who watched the interview would understand the life he lived since his childhood…Amazing man….I am so unfortunate that I could not meet him in my last trip despite the fact that he was very close to my place – this is what is called prarabdham….
I always tell Shivaraman – if someone complains that his life is terrible and god has punished, we should slap him (not really!) and make him watch this interview. One can’t suffer any worse than this. He knows what poverty means, he knows what life struggle means. We all have no right to complain after listening to his story.
On the other hand, it is His leela to lift him up in life after teaching bakthi, surrender etc. What a great man – despite all the wealth he acquired, yet he lived a simple life and attributed all the success to Periyava’s kripai.

Mama and Mami are very humble and very friendly. When I very fist time watched the interview and sent a mail to him, Mama/Mami replied immediately and provided their contact numbers. I have provided the contact numbers to my family in India. When my family member called Mama/Mami, on the same day they invited our family member’s to participate Pooja in their house.(which happen to be a Pournami day)
We are deeply saddened by the news of Sree Lakshminarayanan (Kanakadhara Mama) passing.

After watching the video, I fully agree with Mr.Mahesh that we have no right to complain about anything. Just fall at the feet of God the rest will follow.
Ever since I had read about Kanakadhaara mama’s experiences – and the fact that Paramaachaaryaar says in that episode “Aval ellaarukkum amma daa .. veruma sonnaale portum .. entha oru punaskaaramum vendaam” I had started chanting Sri Kanakadhaaraastavam. Now as a tribute to this great man and in memory of Mahaperiyavaa I will continue the same !
