It is sad to share that our dearest paati had reached the lotus feet of her guru Mahaperiyava on a very auspicious Guru Poornima Day (july 12th) while her son was giving running commentary of kanchi Matam Vyasa puja to her. Last words she mentioned were “Gurunatha….Gurunatha…”..She was 98 years old.
She is not just a paati – to me, she is my guru who taught me what “anugraham ” means through her interview! Whenever I feel that I am not blessed, paati’s words come to my mind – feel rejuvenated!
From the past three great devotees of Periyava whom we lost, it is clear that all of them surrendered themselves that gave them the mukthi. Sri Chettiar attained His feet after entering Kanchipuram entrance while talking about Periyava. Now paati! It isn’t just enough to watch and appreciate their interview; we need to learn from the great life they led and keep them as our guru for doing bakthi/surrender.
Our condolences to her entire family!
Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara!

Smt Pollachi Jayam Paati Attaining mukthi on guru pournima is the most blessed .
periyava has truly blessed her devotee ,she has taught us what true bhakti is.
in fact i must give a big credit to pati who introduced me to periyava, her interview was the first i saw and learnt about peiyava and only then started with other interviews.i was thinking to meeting paati this time on my trip to kanchipuram but well i am not that blessed i guess.
but thanks pati.will miss u.
When such great souls leave their temporal soma and attain moksha, there is no need to be sad. My parents visited paati in Vepathur few months back. Paati is an inspiration for us in doing Bhakthi.
Please share the interview video of paati.
Pattiyin thrivadigalil saranam. Enna oru bkathi! Periyava thruvadikali patti adaindhu vittargal.
Two most important days in my life.
The day I met Smt Pollachi Paatti at her Bangalore home and spent for about an hour or so.

The 2013 sumangali Bikshavandhanam in August at Sri matam, Kanchi. Smt Patti asked Sri Sekhar mama to ensure that Uthra Appa(me) is staying in the Sri Matam only…
This birth of me will go with these sweet memories alone…
No one else, Nothing else, All ‘Sathgurunatha Sathgurunatha Sathgurunatha…’
All of us are indeed indebted to you Mahesh Krishnamurthy & everyone else involved in this tremendous task of capturing for posterity the Divine Leela’s of MahaPeriyava. All of us would have lost these inspiring experiences if your team had not taken the trouble of recording them. Personally, I think viewing these videos is the same as doing Parayana of Bhagavatham. I keep viewing (for want of a better word) all the videos repeatedly. And everytime it seems like I am seeing it for the first time. The Presence of MahPeriyava is palpable. Coming to the videos of Jayam Patti, one is struck by her utter simplicity. Perhaps to the layman Jayam Patti looked very ordinary, but this very ‘ordinariness’ masked her greatness. Because true greatness is extra-Ordinary.
Sir, am unable to locate the Part I of Jayam Patti’s interview. Can you please help me with the link?

jaya jaya sankara hara hara sankara
DEAR ALL CHILDREN OFGOD,WHEN SOULS REACH THE ABODE OF GOD FINALLY AVOIDING REBIRTH IT CAN NOT BE A SAD OCCASION..FOR ORDINARY HUMANS IT WILL SOUND SAD..SRIMATHI JAYAM PATTI AND OTHERS WHO RECEIVE DIVINE BLESSINGS ARE
FORTUNATE. OM JAYA JAYA JAYA SANKARA OM HARA HARA HARA SANKARA,OM NAMA PARVATHY PADAYE HARA HARA HARA MAHADEVA,OM JAI SRI SAI RAM
It is not ordinary devotion which gives this sort of Mukhthi! It is total surrender to the Mahaan that gives this salvation on Guru PurNima Day, particularly when Sri Periyava is doing Vyasa Pooja, in front of Maha Periyava Athishtanam at Sri Matham! Smt. Kanakamma reachedBhagavan Ramana’s Lotus Feet on a New Year Day, in front of Bhagavan’s athishtanam at Thiruvannamalai! One can only marvel at these Great Souls and request them to Bless us with alittle of their Devotion, so that we can also hope to attain Liberation some day! Many thanks to Sri.Ganesa Sarmaji, Sri Sivaraman and Sri. Mahesh for Jayam Patti’s interviews which definitely made us much better! Namaskaarams to Paatti! Sincere condolences to the family.Hara Hara Shankara, Jaya Jaya Shankara!
” Smt. Kanakamma reachedBhagavan Ramana’s Lotus Feet on a New Year Day, in front of Bhagavan’s athishtanam at Thiruvannamalai!” – it also happened to be Bhagavan Ramanar’s Jayanthi. Was fortunate enough to be there on that day.
Anma will directly reach Lotus feet of Maha Periyava. What a devine grace!
