HIs poovasrama name is Shri Venkataraman. Periyavaa gave him sanyasa ashram name Swami Venkateshwaranandha. HIs grand father also sanyasi. Hails from a large Madhwa family of 9 in Mayavaram but settled in Kalpatti near Palakkad.
His education qualification is 8th std. Worked at ICF chennai for a period of 3 years during the period he met Periyavaa @ Triplicane in 1966. In the same year, he took sanyasa on his own and went straight to periyavaa. Periyavaa on seeing him said ” sanyasa should come like this not by giving”. Periyavaa is sanyasa guru. Periyavaa asked him to move around all over india. He has been to Kedarnath and Badhrinath 46 times. He has not went to kailash other wise all shetras he covered. While in Badhri, Periyava gave a darshan in a mystic way. Later Swamigal called an artist to paint that vision so that it can be shared. I have enclosed that painting too…
He read anything if it doesn’t start with Sri chandrasekara saraswathi gurubhyo namaha ; other wise he doesn’t read. He is 76 years now and does not want publicity and wishes to keep aloof. But his prayer is that all houses in india must have the photo of Sri Mahaperiyavaa. He weeps while singing song on periyavaa.

The concluding remarks are indeed apocryphal. The progress of Kali can be held at bay by remembering Periyaya”wall” and trying to follow at least some of Mahaperiyavas appeals(!!) that he made to us.

I have translated the slokam from audio both in sanskrit and in English with meaning in English

While publishing please correct the author of slokam as : श्री वेङ्कटेश्वरानन्दा विरचित महापेरियवा स्तुति , I inadvertently wrote as venkatramananda instead of venkateshwarananada .
I have seen nearly 50 odd videos of “Experiences with Periyava ” , out of which the two are exemplary ;
1. the interview with the Raja of Trivandrum (who very recently left us) for he conscised in one line what tonnes of books on Periyava would bring about – the raja’s words are ” Periyava is our faith in human form ” .
I think this is ultimate in words.
2. The second one is this with this sanyasi disciple of Periyava called sri Venkateshwarananda because
the sanskrit verses he composed on periyava upon returning from his maiden Badri visit is genuine outpouring from his Periyava Guru Bhakti evident from the Stuti. The verses use simple words but pregnant with meanings.
I was thrilled in the first line he says Periyava is Sat, Chit and Anandam, which is how the Upanishads describe Brahmam.
The use of the word “Eka ” in Eka Mundam in the second verse another unique way. Bhagawadpaadal used Eka in some of the verses to describe the Supreme quality of Devata; in the same way in this verse Eka in Eka Mundam connotes Supremacy of Periyava. Sanyasis are tonsured head no need to say this, but saying Eka Mundam here it is implied Periyava is the supreme saint of saints’. ( I have indicated both the meanings the normal one and this one.)
Third, the verses follow both Artha and Vakhya alankaras.
Totally the stuti is enjoyable and comparable with some of the stutis composed by Bhaghwadpadaal in style,simplicity of apt words and merit. This is no wonder ; after all it is periyava Himself the prompter of this Adbudha stuti.
श्री वेङ्कटरामानन्दा विरचित महापेरियवा स्तुति
1. सत्वम् समत्वम् सदानन्दचित्तं सदा चन्द्रमौलीश्वरपादसेव्यम् |
सद्गुरुरूपं सदाचरसेनं श्रीचन्द्रशेखरेन्द्रसरस्वति वन्द्यम् ||
2. काशायधारं करे एकदण्डं शिरस्येकमुण्डम् श्रीरुद्ररूपं |

The following is the meaning :
1. The venerable Sree Chandrasekharasaraswati is same as Sat , Chit, Ananndam , (( meaning Brahmam) always worshipping the feet of SreeChandramauleeswara, in the form of Sadguru, leader in sada aachara ( the impeccable conduct).
2. I salute ( repeatedly) Saffron clad, holding a (sacred) staff, with the thoroughly shaven head (or it can also be) the supreme of Sanyasis’ , sree rudra in human form, the saint’s little smile, Lord of Lords.
3. I salute (repeatedly) the Lotus eyed, Ocean of compassion, (with) merciful eyes, adorning the Kamakotipeetam, auspicious (in) form, resident of Kailasam.
4. I salute (repeatedly) , the shower of bliss, (one whose) feet worshipped by Jayendrasaraswati, the (meaning or representation) of the sound ” Jagannatha”, sree swaminatha (who is also) the stupid/ dull headed/ apathetic life form of Venkatesa (the author himself).
