ஸ்ரீமத் பகவத் கீதையை உபதேஸித்தபடியால் ஜகத்குருவாய் விளங்கியவர் ஸ்ரீ க்ருஷ்ண பரமாத்மா!
கலியுகத்தில் பரமேஸ்வர அவதாரமாகக் காலடியில் தோன்றி பரதக் கண்டம் முழுவதிலும் அத்வைத ஞானத்தினை அருளியவர் ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீமத் ஆதிசங்கர பகவத்பாதாள்!
முதல் குருமணியாக அவர் விளங்கிய சர்வக்ஞபீடமான ஸ்ரீ காஞ்சி காமகோடி பீடத்தில் தோன்றிய குருமஹாமணிகளுள் 68-வது ஆச்சார்யாளாக தோன்றி, வேதஞானத்தினை நமக்கருளி, மனித நேயத்தின் மகத்துவத்தையும் நமக்கு தமது வாழ்க்கையில் வாழ்ந்து காட்டி விளக்கிய மஹாபெரியவா என்று அனைவராலும் அன்போடும், பக்தியோடும் போற்றப்படுகிற, இன்றும் சூக்ஷ்ம நிலையில் இருந்து அருள்பாலித்துவரும் கலியுக தெய்வம் ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ மஹாஸ்வாமிகள்!
பதிமூன்று வயதில் சன்யாஸம் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு நூறாவது வயதிலும் பெரியவர்கள் பொதுமக்களுக்கு ஆசி வழங்கி வாழ்ந்தது நம் பாக்கியமே!
பிற மதத்தவரும் ஸ்ரீமஹாஸ்மியைத் தரிசித்து அவர்களிடம் முகதேஜஸைக் கண்டு நாங்கள் இயேசுவின் அருளைக் கண்டோம்; அல்லாவின் அருளைக் கண்டோம் என்று அனுபவித்து எழுதி உள்ளார்கள்.
நடமாடும் தெய்வமாகவும், பிரத்யக்ஷ ஞானியாகவும், சித்த புருஷராகவும், மஹாஸ்வாமியாகவும், பரமாச்சார்யாளாகவும், விளங்கி உலகமெல்லாம் அமைதியாகவும், சாந்தமாகவும் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவே தவயோகத்தில் வாழ்ந்து நமக்கு அருள்பாளிக்கும் சர்வேஸ்வரனை மனதார போற்றி, அவர் நமக்கு அருளிய அறிவுரைகளை மனதார ஏற்று, நல்வழி நடந்து, நாமும் வாழ்ந்து, பிறரையும் வாழ்விப்போமாக!

நடமாடும் தெய்வமாகவும், பிரத்யக்ஷ ஞானியாகவும், சித்த புருஷராகவும், மஹாஸ்வாமியாகவும், பரமாச்சார்யாளாகவும், விளங்கி உலகமெல்லாம் அமைதியாகவும், சாந்தமாகவும் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவே தவயோகத்தில் வாழ்ந்து நமக்கு அருள்பாளிக்கும் சர்வேஸ்வரனை மனதார போற்றி, அவர் நமக்கு அருளிய அறிவுரைகளை மனதார ஏற்று, நல்வழி நடந்து, நாமும் வாழ்ந்து, பிறரையும் வாழ்விப்போமாக!

here is what HH Mettur wrote and used to recite and asked us to recite:
Maththaha paahi maam guro deeno ham dayaa nidhe. we have not been able to get what other things he has written about periava.
i read bangaru amman presence before periava to give coin. strangest things happen in ones life and many in my life:
one incident: My son who is now a Chartered Accountant made by periava himself:
Periava was camping in some remote village after Belgaum in Karnataka. that was, almost as usual, a riverside: my son was doing his intermediate science but probably not attending most of his classes!! myself and my wife went to have a darshan of periava and my son too! at that time my friend Mr. Seetharaman auditor who is a regular visitor came with his wife and as he was in a great hurry to take bath and see periava was removing his purse tickets company cards etc. and as i was standing near him i extended my hand to receive it.but he went a few yards and gave all the things to my son (petname by periava Pagoda swaminathan)to the smile of Periava!!! the incident was forgotten, he passed his intermediate and when i and seetharaman tried to admit him engineering college he was disqualified because of his glasses! so i admitted him in BSc and lo my collegue and Prof.Bhagwati Pd. a director of Management Deptt. of Karnataka University suddenly phoned me and asked me to readmit him in B.Com. with great difficulty(!) and because i know wse carried blessings of periava changed him over to BCom. after that we put him for articleship of CA with an auditor at Hyd. and in a week i was transferred to Vijayawada and in distress about him. Mr. Seetharaman came to know of my transfer and before i i could say a word said send swaminathan to me, he will stay and study here. and that is what periava, changing science to commerce and ensuring that he is trained properly by a super person who could adjust with his orthodoxy! not only that, by the time he could adjust i got my trannsfer to Madras(much to the surprise and our dislike as we have never lived in South!!!). Periava not only knows that he would be better as CA (inspite of our trying our level best to make him an engineer) but also ensured that he became one and knew what was to happen five years later. we are so agnanis that we dont understand his leelai. Periava will bless everyone please believe. n.r.
