was talking to my father this morning and he was telling me that he many newspapers reported that Mahaperiyava aradhana was conducted throughout our state…I happened to see Sankara TV coverage of the event for a short time…The matham was packed – completely packed with devotees…This is not surprising for who Periyava is…But the energy level of the devotees is rising…Devotion to Periyava is spreading to each and every people…More and more people are getting to know him better..Temples are coming up everywhere..We need one or two temples in US also..He continues to be a great “agarshana sakthi” within all people!
Yesterday, in Chicago, one couple with their kid traveled 8 hours each way just to attend the aradhana event. Normally people tie up other things when they travel such a long distance….Here they came only for this event…Looking at their dedication, I remember Sri Pradosham mama’s line from one his speeches – “enakku bakthi pathalliyonnu thonarathu”!
Shri P Swaminathan (Zee TV) wrote a nice email about his day on aradhana etc….Just few lines (in Tamil) on the crowd at Sri Matham…
Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara
I was blessed to visit KANCHI Mutt on SRI SRI SRI MAHA PERIYAVAL ARADHANA DAY. I couldn’t meet SRI SWAMINATHEENDRA SWAMIGAL AS HE WAS UNWELL AND AWAY IN CHENNAI. Somehow I am fortunate to meet SWAMIGAL in chennai yesterday. He is staying in Adambakkam in one of Hus devotees house. He is recuperating.
Hope He would regain His health soon by the GRACE OF SRI SRI SRI SRI MAHA PERITAVAL.
Shri Chandrashekara, thank you. Your comment reflectc my view too. If we Brahmanaals (I am not telling with any pride) try to learn a bit Sanskrit we can enjoy the beauty of many shlokas. I have not properly learnt Hindi/Sanskrit. But mostly by just reading Deivathin Kural – upto 7 parts, I am able to grasp many Sanskrit words, which our Shri Mahaperiyava corrects here and there so beautifully and simply . (For example, except the Tuglaq magazine, all other tamil magazine wrongly spell the name of vice chairman of congress as ,RaGul and not RaHul.), for their lack of understanding the right pronounciation. I am sure, our friends willl take this lightly and not written to wound any body. With love.
This year Periyavaa Aradhana day – By His grace, I happened to be in Musiri periyavar’s place – I understand that Periyavaa Himself has instructed (normally Periyavaa speaks to him through various means even when he was with sthoola sariram- they need not meet physically)him to conduct Aradhana and it is a blissful experience to attend that Aradhana.
One devotee from chennai who regularly attends this Aradhana.nearly for more than a decade said – Once when he had been to Kanchipuram to have Periyavaa Dharshan – Periyavaa told him – If you want to meet a Real Brahman who lives on this earth, go to musiri and meet the Dikshidhar,he is a real Brahman.
With His divine grace I am blessed to have their Blessings.
Just wanted point out a small spelling mistake. It should be “jagadaakarshaNa” with a “k” instead of “g”. This is a common mistake we Tamil speaking ppl make – we substitute “ga” for all gutturals -ka, kha, ha, etc. This is why some people pronounce Mahesh as “Magesh”. Your blog is beautiful, would not want to see the smallest mistake in it. Keep up the good work!
Reblogged this on Gr8fullsoul.
from your blog, i am very good information about Mahaperiyavaa and I saw the last year aradhana video and also saw the Tv coverage of sri sankara tv yesterday
Jaya Jaya Shankara, Hara Hara Shankara! Maha Periyava ThiruvadigaLee CharaNam!
