Last night I got a call from mami to update me on what is happening on this project. She wanted me to share this with all our readers.
1. Project is due for completion in the next month or so. So far a good 1.xx crores have been spent. Mami is finding hard for the remainder portion of Rs 10 – 15 lakhs to mobilize. Please show your support in whatever extent possible to this massive project.
2. Kumbabishekam is planned to be held in May ’14 – to align with Mahaperiyava’s jayanthi. This kumbabishekam is going to be also called as “Sri Rajarajeswari Pattabishekam” as mami thinks that in our current kali yugam, this is the most appropriate thing to do. She is planning to do chatur veda parayanam and all other upanyasams, music etc that would go on for at least 7 days. She wants as many devotees to attend. Please keep your calendar free during that time and attend this great event.
3. There are some cottages that she is planning to offer in the time-share concept to anyone who is spiritually motivated to stay in a secluded place and do japam, thapam etc. She is planning to charge around 5 lakhs per cottage, which is fully refundable whenever one decides not to have this anymore. This is for your information.

I am following this project very closely through your inputs and also through the regular articles in ” The Hindu”. I am being regularly touch with Mami ( age 80 plus) and with Murali. I was there on 7th Oct.13 to book the cottage – for Vanaprastha life as per Mami’s idea – and paid an advance amount for one.

After reading your last post on this project, I made a small contribution. I called up one of the numbers given and i think it was Mami’s husband who spoke and took the details of the transaction and my address to send prasad.
I was so happy to receive the prasadam on Thursday and just felt that as if Periyava sent me his blessings for doing my small bit. Was very happy.

thanks a lot mahesh. i know where is nochiyam since i belong to trichy. i am sorry i could not understand and i dont want to blame it on my age but only my ignorance confirmed. good and i know that this project will nichayam go very well as it has been in govindapuram (with all its appurtinant problems) i will do my best. thanks again.

mama – pl do a search on the blog for “thapovanam” or “Nochiyam”….long story…shortly, there is a 75 year old mami who wanted to build a huge temple for mahaperiyava (like how sri pradosham mama did) near trichy…..
We are planning to visit Nochiam to offer Go Pooja on 8th Dec’13 (Myself along with my elder brother and cousin brothers (around 20 people) will be their on that day. To confirm our programme my elder brother called mami. She finds difficult to have permanant cook to prepare meals for the visiting people and the children of Veda pada sala. If anybody can help by suggesting good cook it will be most welcome)
Mahesh: By saying ‘Nichayam’ instead of Nochiyam (I’m sure it is an intended spelling of HIM- I can’t call this as a mistake) Periyava has confirmed HIS place here.(afterall Nichyam in Tamil is much more than confirmation in English). HE knows the way and will see to it that project is complete in all respects. I’m planning to be there on 28th Nov. Shankara….
