Mahaperiyava Visual Ashtothra Namavali

namavali104

This has been a project in my mind for more than a year. Every time I chant Periyava Ashtothram, some of these images run through my mind. I had always wanted to create a visual collection relating to the ashtothram. For some reason, it was getting pushed a lot…Finally two weeks back, I spent some time to do this. Spent some time in creating some images etc. Many of the photos (at least to me) seem relevant that namavali. However, there are some namavalis for which we can’t really tie a photo – so, I picked a generic photo for them….If the whole thing looks good, it is all because of the blessing of Periyava. If something doesn’t look good, it is because of me – lack of Sanskrit knowledge etc.

Thanks to my friend RV Padmanabhan to help me with Sanskrit words/meanings and Mrs Lalitha for typing these namavalis in Unicode.

For the first time, I made a video from a powerpoint presentation – learnt something new today!

Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara

    1. Audio – If you can play the exact pronunciation it will help to say the way it should be recited.
    2. Below the image if you can add the meaning for each it will be very useful.

Note: If you can accept I can also find the meaning for each and send it to you. Please do let me know.
