many of you have asked me this question; some said these ads are inappropriate for Periyava site. I am not sure how frequently this comes and hopefully not any bad contents…I dont see them all that much as I am always logged in. Times that I wasn’t logged in, I saw some ads about cooking etc, which I didnt care….
Here is the explanation from the wordpress.com folks…If these ads are coming too often and a serious issue, i will buy the additional package to remove it. It is not much – $30 per year…

I never felt that the advts interfered with me while enjoying the articles in this website. You need not spend that extra money in warding them off, if at all any.

If an add-on called ‘Ad Block Plus’ (a free software) is installed, these ads disappeared.

I think different ads appear depending on where the reader is (which country). In UK, there have certainly been some in appropriate ads.

I am not seeing any ads. , till now.
Sometimes, there are some inappropriate ads, of 1/2-clad women,which is jarring.
i was one who pointed out about the ads which popped up where we were talking about manimandapam and periavas vigraham. there were two ladies who were inappropriately dressed (according to our Indian custom)showing almost topless. i did say that the advertisement was AT THE INAPPROPRIATE PLACE AND IT COULD BE IN A CORNER AND BOTTOM AND NOT THE ADVERTISEMENT ITSELF. I said inappropriate place in the site and not the advt. itself as i know that they do come in almost all sites and one cannot avoid it. you may think thirty dollars is ok but why,for that thing. it could be donated to some other cause. you may like people like me oldies not to see or ignore it and i agree but if you can manage to put it at the bottom it can perhaps be a source of welcome growth for this site which is most useful. n.ramaswami

Definitely they are inappropriate and irrelevant ads. As claimed by WordPress they are neither useful nor helpful ads to pay bills. I believe you have purchased the package I am not able to see the ads now.

Till now i have not noticed any ads on this page,In fact I was waiting for a long time to view them and daily I open this site for atleas two times.
