  3. Periyava in Rishaba Vaganam picture is taken in Kasi Viswanathar Colony, West Mambalam, where Sri Mecherry Pattu Sastrigal home is located. On 18.05.2013, Saturday, when the 120th Maha Anusha Jayanthi Mahotsvam started on Ayodhya Mandapam, this Panchaloka Urshava Murthy of Periyava alongwith Periyava Padukai brought to the Ayodhya Mandampam in the morning

  4. The Vahana “Rishabam” is just a symbolic gesture. Its inner meaning is ‘dharma’. As we all know, Mahaperiyava is embodiment of great Sanatan-dharma. From His upadesa, we have learnt many things about samanya-dharma, desha-dharma, and many more thanks. Not only that, He strictly practiced the dharma with dedication.

  5. அருமை. பகிர்வுக்கு நன்றி.

  6. I would like to share one thing regarding Maha periyavaa. On Sunday in Podhigai television there was a program called kaatrinile varum geetham. One Dr. Sivashree , a sanskrit scholar shared an incident. She wanted to research Dikshathar’s Abayambal’s keerthana and she prayed before the Athistanam of Maha periyavaa to guide her. At that time an elderly woman who was playing veena asked Sivashree to help her to stand. While giving her a hand she noticed that the elderly woman is none other than Kalpakam Swaminathan a noted veena player . She immediately prostrated before the veena player and requested her to teach the krithis as the veena player is an exponent in Dikshathar’s kritis. At once Mrs.Kalapakam gave her the phone number and asked to her contact her. Then Dr.Sivashree learnt the nuances of the kritis. See how instantly Maha periyavaa obliged His devotee.

  7. Maha Periyava’s Dharsan on Rishaba vahanam resembles Lord Siva sitting on His Rishaba vahanam and giving Dharsan.

  8. I am much blessed to see this picture today. Tomorrow, ie. on 20th May 2013, Swami Sivasailapathy and AmbaL ParamakalyaNi are coming to Kizha Ambur, AmbaL’s birthplace from their Temple Sivasailam, 3 km. away from Alwarkurichi, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, for Vaikasi MaNdakappadi. That night, there will be Rishabha Vahana Dharshan, It will be splendid to see Ammaiyappan coming on Rishabha Vahanam in the cool weather after 12 midnight, when they will stop in front of every house and bless us.This will go on till early morning. I have missed that Dharshan this year, but Mahesh compensated by giving Maha Periyava Dharshan, Pratyaksha Daivam! I request all to visit Sivasailam, at least once in their lives. Jaya Jaya Shankara, Hara Hara Shankara! Om Nama Shivaya! Maha Periyava ThiruvadigaLee CharaNam!
