120th Mahaperiyava Jayanthi Mahotsavam in Ayodhya Mandapam

As most of us might know, Bramhasri Mecheri Pattu Sastrigal has been conducting Sri Adi Shankara Jayanthi Mahotsavam for over 50 years on the Divine Orders of Sri Maha Periyava.  When Sri Maha Periyava conducted an Ati Rudram long time ago, Bramhasri Mecheri Pattu Sastrigal was the Prathaana Vaadhiyar and Sri Maha Periyava honored him by bringing him with all due Vedhic honors in a procession over the top of the Sri Matham elephant -as required by Shastras. Sri Sivaraman’s interview with this great Vaidheeka is available under “Video Content” tab on the main menu.

For the past several years, Bramhasri Mecheri Pattu Sastrigal has also been conducting as a Brahmotsavam the Maha Periyava Jayanthi over a period 11 days in West Mambalam Ayodhya Mandapam.

They have put together amazing program for these 11 days – great vedic scholors are attending, well-renowned bhagavadhars are giving upanyasams – my favorites Nochur Sri Venkataraman and Shri Ganesha Sharma. As I can see the scale in which this program is conducted is increasing year-after-year with Periyava’s blessings.  I wish I could be in Chennai to attend this great event….This place is just around the corner from my place in W.Mambalam!

Please attend this grand celebrations and receive poorna anugraham of  “our” Mahaperiyava.
