Chef Jacob’s Annabhishekam to Vaniyambadi Shivan!

I’ve seen this guy on TV. I must say that he did lot of unique way of presenting the show. Too young to die…It is strange that he had an great opportunity to cook and get the darshan of Lord Shiva. Regardless of whether he did this for show or not, Lord Shiva being a great karunamurthy will bless him. Getting a darshan of any abhishekam to Lord Shiva is a blessing and that too annabhishekam is the ultimate – this guy was really blessed. Let his soul rest in peace.

  1. It is a sorry state of affair that Chef Jacob’s action had generated so many comments,
I sincerely feel that this blog should act as a catalyst to generate awareness, induce love & embrace human relations

    • Nityarenu I agree with you. This site should unite all not devide. Unfortunately many comments here. No shivacharya in right mind allows some one to do annabishegam. They do themself. There are many Jacobs in the society. One school of thought is to bring them back to Hindu fold and another do not want it. Only time will tell.

  2. it,s clear that Almighty is beyond caste and creed, but looks into the bhakthi that one has.

  3. JACOB BLESSED SOUL HAVING ATTAINED LORD SIVA PADHAM

  4. Really blessed are those who get an opportunity to do such poojas or annabhishekam. Bakthi is beyond religion and caste. As a human being he had the blessings of the Lord Siva to do that. Let us not make it a big issue. Jaya Jaya Shankara.

  5. May his soul rest in peace. Its really very sad news. I saw this programme in SunTV. He was mot doing annabhishekam. while he was preparing kapparisi, the priests were doing annabhishekam simultaneously.

  6. May God Bless Jacobs Soul peace. As per our belief every one will have rebirth to his aspirations and faith.Lord Siva is suppose to be projected as Kaivalya murthy, here Kaivalya means Moksha. We shed our mortal coil in this world as if like changing of the dress and get ourselves a new one and return to this world to spend further time in this world for enjoying or understanding the world further.GOD KNOWS EVERY THING “A TO Z “

  7. Not this means God is very cruel…. He is so kind of having blessed Jacob for doing Annabishekam…. I feel God likes J’s cooking… He wanted bless J more and more…. by giving seat in to J in His Holy Abode… May J’s Soul Rest in Peace…

  8. shocking. May his soul RIP.

  9. Too young to depart this world., sad to hear this…But still one blessed soul I think., and all my prayers go with him..May his soul rest in peace.

  10. I saw this programme in Sun TV. He did not do abhishekam. He did a cooking demo on Kaaparisi (kaapu arisi) and offered to the lingam for neiveidhiyam. May his soul rest in peace. HH bless all.

  11. Sad to hear this news… May his soul rest in peace. As Mahesh mentioned, he has the unique style of presenting the cooking shows and some of the receipes are good and healthy too. will miss this guy for sure. Jaya Jaya Shankara.

  12. Definitely a blessed soul.

  13. In Vaniambadi Jacob doing annabhishekam to Shivalinga. This is the real unity

  14. He is really blessed irrespective of his caste, etc.

  15. What is special about the Siva lingam in the temple at Vaniyambadi? The lingam doesn’t have the usual shape. It is more like a heap of sand that a child would make on the beach. It is considered to be Ardhanarishwara lingam in which Amma ana Appa reside together. The utsava murthy is a cute vigrham of Parameshwara having Ambal seated on His left lap! Sivashakti aikya roopam.Unfortunately the temple has not received the recognition due.The place being what it is one of the reasons or the negligence of the temple.

  16. Bhakthi is definitely beyond rituals, beyond race, caste & creed. But such bakthi is better kept inside the heart.

Need not elaborate to the audience of this blog, Atleast this blog need not publicize such information (that Jacob prepared nivedhyam to Iswaran) as these things will only lead to inappropriate persons participating in such activities (that are ment to be carried out with certain purity).

In the words of Mahaperiyava, If we hold a book to close or too far we cannot read it. We have to hold it at right distance. This is applicable for Iswara darsanam too. Better we take his blessings from the right place and leave the rest to be done by the Sivacharyas.

Jaya Jaya Shankara Hara hara Shankara

    • Sure – I was in two minds whether to post this or not. Shiva bakthi took the priority.

I guess there were lots of typos in that article. I am sure he himself did not do abishekam – no shivacharya would have allowed that….Let us take the right info from the article and leave the rest.

      • I Agree with you Mahesh. Except Shivacharya’s or archaka’s no one is allowed to do Puja or Abishekam to Lord Shiva or Deity’s in any south Indian Temples except few places in AP. but how come he was allowed?.I do not know. Unity and all that is different. No doubt he is nice man and died very young Age. I do not blame him, but blame the Temple authorities , if the truth is was he allowed to do abishekam ? I Will find out truth from that Temple soon.

  17. Truly he WAs blessed by Lord Siva who gave him moksha when Mr.Jacob pleased HIM with annabhishekam! Blessed soul!
