அலுவலகத்தில் வேலை பார்க்கும் பெண்மணி ஒருவர், பெரியவாள் தரிசனத்துக்கு வந்தார். இந்நாளைய பெண்மணியாக இருந்தாலும், உள்ளுர பக்தி இருந்தது; சமய சடங்குகளையும் மந்திர தோத்திரங்களையும் முறையாக பெற்றுக்கொண்டு அனுஷ்டிக்க முடியவில்லையே என்ற தாபம் இருந்தது.
மனமுருக பெரியவாளிடம் பிராத்தித்து கொண்டார்: “நான் வேலைக்கு போகிறவள். எனக்கு ஓய்வு நேரம் குறைவு. அத்துடன், மடி, ஆசாரம் என்றெல்லாம் கண்டிப்புடன் இருக்க முடியாது. நீளமான ஸ்தோத்திரங்கள், பாராயணம் செய்யவும் இயலாது. அதனால், எதாவது சுலபமான மந்திர ஜெபம் செய்யவேண்டும் என்ற ஆசை இருக்கிறது. பெரியவாள் அனுக்ரகம் பண்ணனும்.”
உடனே, கருணாமூர்த்தியான பெரியவாள், அந்த பெண்மணியின் உள்ளுணர்வையும் சிரத்தையையும் புரிந்துக்கொண்டு , “சொல்லு…” என்றார்கள்.
உபதேசம் பெற்ற அம்மங்கையர்கரசி, மனமகிழ்ந்து, பெரியவாளுக்கு நமஸ்காரம் செய்தார். ‘ஆசார அனுஷ்டானமில்லாத உனக்கெல்லாம் மந்திர உபதேசம் என்ன வேண்டியிருக்கு?” என்ற கடிய சொற்களை எதிர்பார்த்து வந்தவருக்கு, கனிவான உபதேசத்தால் நெகிழ்ந்தே போனார்.
ஆனால், இந்த மந்திரம் அந்த பெண்மணிக்கு மட்டும் அளிக்கப்பட்ட உபதேசம் அல்ல; நம் அத்தனை பேருக்கும்தான்!

This Maha Mantra Upadesham take me to an earlier reading of a book connected with SRi SRI Ramanuja Swamigal,
When he got the Upadesam of Maha Narayana Matram from his Guru,He immediately move towards the Gopuram of the Temple and climb on it and declare the Maha Mantram to the whole world,by declaring this mantram openly i may go Naraka,but those people who assemble there begin to chant this Narayana Maha Mantram,every one will get the chance to live with Lord Maha Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi in Vaikunda.I want that,and i love that too.Here Our Periyavas maha mantram will have the same effect,if chant Mantra fervently..”Dharmo Rakshathi Rakshithaha ||”

Mahaans ways are always unique, that too our Maha Periyavaa’s upadesams are very simple, easy to follow, however yet very powerful. Would be very grateful, if some one could kindly share with me the simple mantropadesams which our Maha Periyavaa at various points of times have blessed them to his devotees. Would like to maintain a repository of all such golden upadesams to leave it to our next generation who can treasure and benefit both materially and spiritually. Maha Periyavaa Thiruvadi Saranam.

Due to change in economics conditions and employment following all “Anustanam” is difficult. Some times we need two incomes to maintain a simple life. This message is like “deva amurtham ” for Souls.
