I BOW TO HIM

I bow to Him whose fateful will
Sends pulsing through the universe
Life’s hellish woe and heavenly thrill,
Its mingled prose and tuneful verse.

I bow to Him whose radiance bright
Lends glory to the sun and skies,
And lights in souls Thought’s heavenly light,
And gives perceptive power to eyes.

I bow to Him whose boundless love
Makes Him incarnate on our sphere
To lead us to His realm above
The bourne of Time’s revolving year.

I bow to Him whose mercy sweet
Uprises fountain-like through seas
Of sin and flows unto the seat
Of Beauty, Love, Joy, Wisdom, Peace.
