Vaikasi Anusham – Maha Periyava Jayanthi – Thirukkural series

Namaskarams,

Maha Periyava Jayanti Mahotsavam – The traditional meaning of Thirukkural – Tamizh lecture series.

Time:  Sat, June 3 to Wed, June 7 , 8:30 PM EST- 9PM EST   (6AM IST – 6:30 AM IST)

Thirualluvar and Thirukkural have been held with high regards by Mahaperiyava as He expresses often in Deivathin Kural. It is more than just a coincidence that the two great mahaans share the same Jayanthi day. Yes, Vaikaasi Anusham is the Jayanthi of both Thiruvalluvar and Mahaperiyava. Periyava often quotes Thirukkural in his speeches and Deivathin Kural. Unfortunately, Thirukkural has been subjected to many misinterpretations and mistranslations. In this Vaikasi Anusham, as a part of Jayanthi mahotsavams of both the mahaans, we will attempt to study the traditional meaning of Thirukkural standing on the shoulders of the traditional scholar giants such as Parimelazhagar and Manakkudavar. As a beginning, we will see the meaning for the first adikaaram – Kadavul Vaazhttu beginning from this Vaikasi Anusham – June 3rd Saturday @ 6:00 AM IST through zoom – https://us06web.zoom.us/j/7787206935?pwd=emlSb00vNTdQNFNZZjArMWhPQVVsZz09

Looking forward to a divine Jayanti Mahotsavam

Hara Hara Shankara Jaya Jaya Shankara

Namaskarams.
