Per Sri Periva’s aagnya, Kalainirai’s focus is preservation of our traditions and culture in future generations through youth engagement in religious activities – alongside general community service activities, and activities that help build connections between youth in the US and in rural Bharatam and veda pathashala-s.
Kalainirai Foundation USA’s Summer Natakam Camp in Seattle
Itihaasa – Natakam and Samskriti Camp is for ages 8 and up. This is a non-profit camp since 2014 in which children study and act out episodes from India’s history. The camp promotes immersive learning through drama, art, games, Samskrit, Yoga, music and dance. The proceeds from Itihaasa support causes such as Sankara Healthcare Foundation in the US, veda pathashalas, temples and other dharmic causes.
Camp Details:
Ages 8 and Up
July 24th to Aug 4th Blackwell Elementary, Sammamish, 9:30 am to 2:30pm
(after-hours care available till 4 pm for $25/day)
Cost : $350/camper plus $15-$20 costume rental
Performance: Saturday Aug 5th at Carco Theater in Renton
