TRANSLATION:
May that Mother protect me at all times and in all ways from dangers through (Her) differentiated forms that number eighteen crores and nine crores and were manifested from Her energy to slay the demons Mahiṣa (the son of the Asura princess Māhiṣmatī) and Ruru respectively.
In the conversation that ensued between Lord Varaha and Bhumi Devi, Bhagavan describes the manifestation of Goddess Durga as Trikala Devi who emerged from the confluence of the gazes of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Siva. She then differentiated Herself into three distinct forms for the welfare of the Universe. The chapter ends with the description of the exploits of Goddess Srshti who emerged from Lord Brahma and merged into him eventually.
Inspired by Durga Chandrakala Stuti and its Sanskrit commentary of Srimad Appayya Dikshitendra.
