Pradishta of ascetic Maha Periavaa deity in meditating form
The Eight layered holy consecration of the reconstructed, two thousand year-old ancient Sri Nethradhayini Samedha Masilamaneeswarar temple, located at Nayapakkam village in Thiruvallur district, is being performed between 10.30 and 11.00 am on 5 July 2017. The renovation work of the temple, which was in much dilapidated and poor condition, was taken up by Annamalayar Charities with the help of the local people and devotees and the renovation has been completed within a short time. The highlight is that a statue of Kanchi Mahaswamy, in a rare meditating posture has been erected in the Artha Mandapa in front of the Sannadhi of Eswara. The yagasala rituals (sacrificial rituals) commence on 3 July 2017. The temple is located at a distance of 5 kms from Thandalam Koot Road, near Poonamallee
