இன்னும் வேறு பாரம் தேவையா?
நல்லி செட்டியார் சிவன் சாரின் பரமபக்தர். இவர், ‘நாலு கிரவுண்டில் ஒரு வீடு கட்டி, ஆசாரமான ஒரு சமையற்காரரையும் ஏற்பாடு செய்கிறேன்’ என்றாராம்.
ஆனால், சிவன் சார் மறுத்துவிட்டார்.
நாதன்ஸ் கஃபே நாதன், அமெரிக்க நண்பர் ஒருவருடன் சிவன் சாரை சந்திக்கச் சென்றார். அவரை நமஸ்கரித்த நண்பர் பெரிய தொகைக்கு செக் ஒன்றை சமர்ப்பித்தார்.
அப்போது, தான் உடுத்தியிருந்த துண்டைக் காண்பித்து, ”இதுவே எனக்குப் பாரமாக உள்ளது. வேறு பாரம் தேவையா?” என்று ஏற்க மறுத்துவிட்டாராம்.
Do I require additional burden?
Nalli Chettiyar was a great devotee of Sivan Sar. He told Sar “I will build a house in about four ground of land and also employ a cook to take care of all your needs”. Sivan Sar refused the offer.
Sri Nathan of Nathan’s Café and a friend of his from America went to meet Sivan Sar. They prostrated to Sar and the friend offered a cheque for a huge amount.
Sar pointed to the cloth he was wearing and said “This itself is a burden to me. Do I require additional burden?” He refused to accept the amount.
