SRI BHAGAVANNAMA BODHENDRA SARASWATHI SWAMIGAL was the 59th pontiff of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam and is considered to be one of the trinities who established Nama Sangeertanam along with Sri Sridhara Venkatesa Ayyaval and Sri Marudhanallur Sadhguru Swamigal . The Jeeva Samadhi of Bodhendral is located at the Mutt’s premises at Govindapuram by the bank of Cauvery river. The Aradhana of Swamigal is celebrated in the month of Avani/Purattasi (September/October) for about two weeks every year. The maha-aradhanai occurs on the dwadasi thithi of Mahalaya paksham.
His Aaradhana Celebrations are still going on in Govindapuram (Near Kumbakonam) from Sep 17 to Sep 30. Time and again it proves that only such Avatara Purushas and Yatis (Sanyasis) come the succor of suffering humanity. Knowing the Divya Charithams of such Acharyas is of paramount importance for us to repose our faith in our own Dharma. What prathi-upakaram we can do such Acharyas, other than just prostrating to them?
