I came to Chennai around 10th of December as my mother was just discharged from hospital. When I left Chicago, I was hoping to go to Kanchipuram for Aradhana. However, few days later my mother was re-admitted and my plan of going to Kanchipuram was off the table as I was busy running between home and hospital. Before we left for hospital I prayed to Mahaperiyava and sent a message and my namaskaram to Sri Periyava in Venus colony camp. So I decided to find some place nearby in W.Mambalam and thought I could go to Vignesh Studio in the morning for abishekam etc. I did not know that they moved to Murthy Street. Got their address and went there. When I entered their hall, I prayed to Periyava that my mother should return home – that’s all. Her condition was not good earlier and I was very worried. The abishekam etc started and I was there probably for 90 mts. At the end of the abishekam, I got a call from the hospital saying that the doctor wanted to talk to me personally. I left without attending shodopachara puja etc and went straight to hospital. The doctor said that they can discharge her in the next day or so! I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. From how she went in the hospital to how she came out is all His grace.
Murthy Street Periyava is sarva-siddhi-anugraha Periyava – to me, at least. That doesn’t mean other Periyava are not! Sit in front of Him pray and leave the rest to Him – whatever happens after that is not up to us – it is up to Him and based on our prarabdha karma! He will guide us through all turbulent times.
Periyava Sharanam!
