மாத்வர்கள்தான் தற்போது ஓரளவு சாதுர்மாஸ்ய ஆஹார நியமத்தை வைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். தினப்படி அகத்துச் சமையல் இதன்படி செய்யாவிட்டாலும் சாதுர்மாஸ்யத்தில் சிராத்தம் வந்தால் அந்த சிராத்த போஜனத்தில் அவர்கள் சாதுர்மாஸ்ய நியாயப்படி தள்ள வேண்டியதைத் தள்ளிவிடுகிறார்கள். மற்றவர்கள் எதையும் கவனிப்பதில்லை. ஆசார ஸம்பிரதாயத்தில் வந்துள்ள ஸந்நியாஸிகள் மட்டும் நியமத்தை அநுஸரிக்கிறோம். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள்
Nowadays only Madhwas observe Chaaturmasya Vratha to a certain extent. They do not follow the rules on normal days of the Chaaturmasya period. However when a Shraddham falls during Chaaturmaasya period they do not include the food items (in Shraddha Bhojanam) that should not be consumed during this period. Others do not observe any of these restrictions. We Sannyasis alone, who have come in Aachara Sampradaya, follow these restrictions. – Jagadguru Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamigal
