For non-Tamil readers -people make a common mistake in temples by making sound in front of chandikeswarar. He is a great shivanadiyar and always in meditation on lord shiva. We shouldn’t disturb his meditation by making any sound. Since he protects Shiva Temple’s property, we need to show both our hands in front of him to assure that we are not taking anything from the temple..
