ச்ரமதானம் மாதிரியே எல்லாரும் ‘ஸம்பத்தி தான்’ என்கிற பண தானமும் துளியாவது பண்ண வேண்டும். எத்தனை குறைச்சல் வருமானமானாலும் அதிலும் ஒரு காலணாவாவது தனக்கென்று இல்லாமல் தர்மத்துக்குப் போகணும். இதிலே ஸ்திரீகளால் ஆகக்கூடியது நிறைய இருக்கிறது. நகை, துணி, ஸினிமாச் செலவு, வரதக்ஷிணை சீர் செனத்தி ஆசை இவற்றால் ஸ்த்ரீகள்தான் புருஷர்களை விட தான தர்மம் முடியாத ஸ்திதியை ஏற்படுத்தி விடுகிறார்கள். ரேஸ், சீட்டு, குடி, ஸிகரெட் முதலான துன்மார்க்கச் செலவுகள் புருஷர்கள்தான் செய்கிறார்களென்று எனக்குத் தெரியுமானாலும், அவர்களை விடவும் பெண் ஜன்மா எடுத்தவர்கள்தான் எல்லா உயிர்களுக்கும் தாயாக, தியாகிகளாக உபகரிப்பதில் உதாரணமாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதால் சொல்கிறேன் அகமுடையான், பெண்டாட்டி இருவரும் ஒத்துழைத்து, தர்மம் செய்வதற்கென்றே மற்றச் செலவுகளைக் குறைத்துக்கொண்டு கொஞ்சமாவது மிச்சம் பிடிக்க வேண்டும்.இருக்கிறவர்’களும் இதற்கெல்லாம் ஆகிற செலவைச் சேமித்துப் பரோபகாரத்துக்குப் பயனாக்க வேண்டும். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
Like doing service through hard work, one should also contribute monetarily to serve others. Even when one is earning a minimal income, at least a miniscule portion of it must be spent on charity. Women can perform a great role in this kind of service. Without indulging in unnecessary expenditure on jewels, clothes, films and by desisting from demanding dowry or gifts for their sons during marriage, ladies can create a situation in which charity becomes impossible. I know that men waste the money in immoral expenditure like racing, gambling, and drinking. But women are maternal beings and they alone can be like mothers to the other earthly beings and be ready to sacrifice and help others. This is the reason I insist upon the role of women. Husband and wife should cooperate to reduce unnecessary expenditures and save some money exclusively for the purpose of charity.
