தக்ஷிணாமூர்த்தி காரியம் இல்லாமல் இருந்தாலும், முழு பிரக்ஞையுடன் அப்படி இருக்கிறார். உள்ளுக்குள் காரியம் இல்லாததாலேயே வெளியிலே அவரால் எத்தனையோ காரியம் செய்ய முடிகிறது. வெறுமே உட்கார்ந்திருக்கும் தக்ஷிணாமூர்த்திதான் ஆனந்தத் தாண்டவக் கூத்தும் ஆடுகிறார். திரிபுர தகனம் செய்கிறார். பிக்ஷாடனம் பண்ணுகிறார். பக்தர்களுக்கு வரம் கொடுத்துவிட்டு ஊர் ஊராகத் திண்டாடுகிறார். உள்ளே அடக்கமாக இருக்கிறார்; வெளியிலே கூத்தடிக்கிறார். நமக்கும் உள்ளே அடக்கம் வந்துவிட்டால் வெளியிலே எத்தனை காரியமும் செய்யலாம். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
Though Dakshinamurti remains still without doing anything he is full of awareness. It is because he is inwardly a non-doer that he is able to do so much in an outward sense. The Dakshinamurthi who remains still is the one who dances the dance of bliss (Nataraja), who destroys the demon Tripura and who keeps roaming as a mendicant. After granting boons to his devotees he goes from place to place. He is still inwardly but is in a frenzy outwardly.
