First Miracle in my Life
Anjanayar Temple108 Pradakshnam for 108 days without break
I recall my memory, of the year 1995. One day early morning, Mahaperiyava instructed me, to do pradakshnam of 108 times daily for 108 days during Brimha Muhurtham, without break at Lord Anjanaya temple-Nanganallur.
If I have to do Brimha Muhurtham Pradakshnam at 04.30, then I have to get up at 3.30 in the morning. Though getting up at that time, is a Himalayan task for me. I had no option but to obey Mahaperiyava. Though I have obeyed, I had my own doubt weather, I will be able to get up at that time, when entire town must be fast asleep.
Whatever certain done, I have to obey Mahaperiyava Because Mahaperiyava instructions are so emphatic and not even by way of suggestion. Probably Mahaperiyava knows that ” I should be tamed rather than to be trained”
But finally, Mahaperiyava combat with all my attitude and laziness and made me a soulful person. The word “Soulful” is a step ahead of Transformation and one should enjoy this state of mind, to understand and I owe a lot to Mahaperiyava throughout my genmas. What kind of a divine enjoyment, I experienced!
Later on, I came to know, to get a GURU and Guru Kataksham, one has to wait for many genmas I am able to realize it now. How fortunate I am. Somehow, my unquenchable thirst to have a GURU has reached Mahaperiyava and I was made to come to Kanchi and voluntarily called me for GURU Kataksham, in spite of the fact that there was huge crowd.
My GURU is not a simple saint But Jagatguru and Avatharam of Lord Parameswaran
My Prayer of 108 pradakshnam for 108 days:
Even my own people and close associates mocked at me and they said that I am really crazy and mad, for offering my prayer in this manner. Their apprehension was, I may fall sick at any time and at that t time, I may miss many days and in such case, everything will go in vain. At that time, I used to have diabetic associated problems and frequently, I used to be hospitalized to prevent diabetic coma.
MY reply to my well wish was “When Mahaperiyava instructs me to do something, then execution becomes my part and the potential risk and consequence becomes the responsibility of the HIGH COMMAND Mahaperiyava. Believe me; I had absolutely no problem in offering my prayer for all those 108 days, in spite of the fact that I am a diabetic and was suffering from diabetic associated problems and added to this, lashing rain frequently at 4.00 in the morning.
When every alternative person was suffering from different kinds of diseases and very high temperature due to heavy rain and epidemic conditions during that period, I was the one, hale and healthy in spite of the fact that I was exposed to all potential dangers to suffer all ailments. Who was instrumental for my excellent health, should I mention here.
It was Jagatguru Mahaperiyava
On 108th day, all my friends and relatives who were commenting against my prayer, were able understand Mahaperiyava. Though the purpose of this instruction by Mahaperiyava, was not known at that time, I had no second thought but to obey Mahaperiyava implicitly.
This prayer saved me from unforeseen complexities and adversities in my Life. I am very much afraid even to think, how I would have been without this prayer. Everything was unbelievable and beyond anybody’s perception.
My gain during those 108 days:
During that divine period, I could get a friendship of a cow and her calf. Every day, I make it a point to give both mother and calf, a banana each Everyday during Viswaroopam, mother cow and her calf, will be brought to Krishnan sannadhi and make them to stand in front of Krishnan because we all know that Goddess Mahalskshmi is present at the back of cow.
As there used to be only very few devotees, the cow and calf can target me very easily for their quota of banana daily. I have heard, read about divine world of Kailayam and Sri Vaikuntam. But I could experience those divine destinations, during those unforgettable divine days.

My divine assignment of Mahaperiyava, will take almost three hours nonstop pradakshnam. By witnessing this prayer, the temple Bhattacharya’s and others have also become my friends. After 108 pradakshnam, I will feel very hungry (I am a diabetic too) and by realizing this, the temple volunteers used to give me pongal and sweet pongal daily. What a divine days. Yes!!
I will cherish those divine days for ever in my life.
Everyone considers that Viswaroopa Dharshan is divinely important, valuable and priceless. When I look back, it is really amazing that Viswaroopa Dharshan for 108 days is a divine bonanza because it is not only pradakshnam but viswaroopa dharshan and all abishekams and only handful of devotees in the temple during that small hour. The senior devotees interpreted my prayer, as a divine shield for not only for me but for the entire family.
For counting of Pradakshnam, I used to carry 9 numbers of 25 paisa coins. For every 12 pradakshnam, I transfer one coin on the other pocket. When all 9 coins are transferred to other pocket, which implies that, i have completed 108 pradakshnam. This was my routine for nearly three and a half months.
- Not a single day, I had a fall on the floor in spite of the fact that many devotees used to have a fall on the floor. The flooring is marble and due to heavy rain, the surface water will make each and every step slippery.
- I am being a diabetic, exhausting for three hours by way of pradakshnam without any intake, will normally create giddiness. Believe me, not a single day, I had my diabetic problems.
- Because of heavy rain, not a single day, I was late for my pradakshnam except a nightmare day, which I will narrate at the latter portion of this article.
- Almost three and half months getting drenched in rain, I was very normal without any ailments.
- All three and a half months I had Ekanda dharsanam.
- So many devotee’s blessings and wishes, by witnessing my devoted offering of my prayer was a boon to my daily life.
Nightmare day:
As I mentioned earlier, there used to be heavy rain on many days. On some days, the rain will be associated with lightning and thunder. At that time, I could not drive my vehicle and I used to take a shelter under a tree.
One day, at about 4.00 A.M., there was lightning and thunder during heavy rain. There was no people movement, on the road and I was the only one, on the road and nothing in my vicinity. The lightening was so powerful that it pierces through the branches of the tree and thunder was with very high magnitude as if it is going to uproot the tree .I was standing under a tree. With the chill whether associated with heavy wind combined with lightning and thunder made to be afraid of the atmosphere.
All of a sudden, something was gripping my left shoulder and pulling me towards left side. All my resistance went in vain. I immediately stooped my resistance and shouted “Mahaperiyava, save me”. . That was first time in my life, I was terribly afraid and I shouted. There was lightning and in that such a high voltage in the midst of lightning, I could have dharshan of Mahaperiyava, raising his hand and blessing me. That was the miracle, lasted only for a fraction of second. On that day had Mahaperiyava not responded to my call, I am afraid about my fate.
Even today, I cannot forget that atmosphere and on many days, I used to get dreams, as if I am travelling in a forest during heavy rain and thunders.
Miracle On 108th day:
I offered to Lord Anjayaneyar, poorna vada mala on 108th day and I was in third place to receive my prasadams. A bamboo basket was kept at the feet of Anchanayar. From the crown of Lord Anchanayar, one piece of broken vada was fallen in to my basket. I was in fact thrilled. It was on 108th day. Everyone around me including Bhattacharya said “what else you require as Anjanaya, blessed you this way. Everyone was shouting, Sri Ram Jaya Ram Jaya Jaya Ram
After few years, I have also contributed onetime payment of Rupees 5,000/-(five thousand only) towards ANNADHANAM TRUST. Under this trust, every year, on my birth day (on 13th Feb) SWARNA PUSHPA ARCHNA will be done and prasadams will be given to me personally. After my life span that deposit will be transferred to my son’s name. This money goes for Anna dhanam for poor and needy.
I might not have amazed wealth but accumulated divine blessings of Mahaperiyava and Lord Anjanayar for my family.
This is the beginning of Miracles in my LIFE. All miracles related to me, happened after PERIVA’S Siddhi. I have heard the divine miracles of others but it is very much thrilling and new experience, when it happens to me. This is a very clear proof that,
Mahaperiyava is present among us I am one of the living examples! “I met Periva only once but blessings serve this entire GENMA It is a very clear message to devotees that “Periva’s blessings are Immortal and Will engulf us, when time is ripe”
