Couple of years a large thick bound book was published in India called “Anugrahavarsha”. This has 200+ digitized images of Periyava that were originally in B&W and later digitized and brought color through the digitization process. I always love B&W photos. However, seeing colored version of them is also a treat to our eyes…..They have done an outstanding job. Periyava’s photos should live for generations to come and this is one amazing way to preserve these treasures.
It took countless hours of scanning all these pictures in a high resolution mode, edit them (mostly I did them at late night hours) and upload them into a single place. To make it search-friendly, I have named each of the files based on how Periyava is standing – like “sitting”, standing, vilva on head, with balu mama etc….Do some search and enjoy. I intentionally scanned at a high resolution so that any of these photos can be printed at a much larger sizes – for framing etc…
This is done with a philosophy of “யாம் பெற்ற இன்பம் பெருக இவ்வையகம்”.
