As many of you may recall that during my recent India trip, HH Balaperiyava asked me to digitize several books released by Sri Matam – several or most of them are Adi Shankaracharya related books. I wanted to release the first book for Adi Shankara Jayanthi but due to various reasons I was unable to do so. Finally the first book is now digitally available. In addition to that, I also released HH Mahaperiyava’s last padha yatra book also digitally. If you have an iPad or Amazon Kindle devices, you can download these book through Apple Store and Amazon Store and these books will be delivered directly to your handheld devices. So far, I have released them in Apple’s iBook Store and in Amazon book store. Apple lets me to publish for free but Amazon is forcing me a minimum of $0.99. I am not sure how many people are going to “buy” it. If any such $$$ comes to me, I will collect them all and send to Sri Matam. In the meanwhile, I am going to find out how to publish in Amazon for free – based on the research I did, I am unable to find a proper help….
