Ghatam Shri Subhash Chandran mama, Kanjira Shri Ganesh & others are here touring in U.S for performances in various places. One day I suddenly got a message in Facebook from Ganesh, whom I’ve met few times in W.Mambalam. He was the one who distributed 100+ books of “Thanthathu un thannai kondathu en thannai”. From the message I sensed that he needed some help. I called him and it turned out that due to some planning issue, they needed help in accommodation in Chicago as they’re on their way to Madison, WI for next program. I invited them all to my place to stay with us. They kindly agreed and they are with us now. They have two more programs left – one in Gainesville, FL & last program in NY. Shri Subash Mama and Ganesh have spent nearly the last 10 years very very closely with Periyava. All thanks to Sri Pradosham mama. Their experiences are not necessarily miraculous always but enough to get necessary anugrahams from the Lord. I requested them to share these experiences with me. All of them are very kind in sparing time for me to talk about all these….Krishna at his young age is chanting thevaram, thiruvasagam and all three do nithya puja to Periyava. He has been blessed by Periyava since Krishna was a child. Now he is a leading music composer in Vijay TV. The sitar player Hindol is an outstanding Shiva devotee from Calcutta. This is the first time he is playing with mama’s troupe. During our conversation with him yesterday, he mentioned that he got a new raga “Peethambara” directly from Lord Shiva. Periyava has His own ways of uniting like minded people.
More than any miraculous experiences, we always are keen to listen, I am awestruck to hear how Pradosham mama taught them all to do bakthi to Periyava. That is they key to success – some people get it due to Periyava anugraham – some don’t. This is one such blessed family….
One common trait you would see from those who come from the school of Sri Pradosham mama is their unshaken bakthi towards Mahaperiyava. That is what I am learning from them.
