Once there was a chef who served Meenakshi ambal by preparing offerings for goddess at temple’s kitchen. One day he fell sick and was unable to prepare the offerings for routine pooja rituals.
Ambal Meenakshi herself took charge of preparing the offerings and served the devotees during the rituals.
Goddess Meenakshi Ambal left her Nose stud at kitchen as a mark of her presence and hence blessed the chef.
