Sri Ambi is not a stranger to many of Periyava devotees. He is a selfless individual dedicated his life for Mahaperiyava kainkaryam and lives in Echangudi and managing the avatara-sthalam of Mahaperiyava’s purvashrama mother and the patasala. He is instrumental in resuming patasala at this kshetram. It appears that this interview was done by Sri Vakkil Anna’s team during their padhayatra.
Ambi is a very blessed person and this is a loaded statement. Atirudram Ravi constantly tells me “Mahesh, don’t underestimate Ambi – he is very unique and a person hand-picked by Periyava to do this kainkaryam”. It is true – till date, not a minute Ambi thought about himself – always about this place, patasala etc. He is truly driven by Periyava and Ambal.
