கார்யம் தோற்றுப் போகாமல் ஜயித்தாலும் இதே வித்தியாஸத்தைப் பார்க்கலாம். சாஸ்திரப்படி பண்ணி ஒரு லாபத்தை அடைந்து விட்டால், மறுபடி அதே லாபத்துக்காக பகவானிடம் போவதற்குத் தன்னாலேயே ஒரு லஜ்ஜை உண்டாகிறது. “அவன் இத்தனை பண்ணினதே பெரிசு” என்று அவனைச் சும்மா சும்மா வேண்டிக் கொண்டு தொந்தரவு பண்ணாமல், “அன்பாக பக்தி பண்ணணும், நாம் இப்படிப்பட்ட ஆசைகளைக் குறைத்துக் கொள்ளணும்” என்ற அறிவு துளித் துளியாவது வருகிறது. அந்த அளவுக்கு அது சித்த சுத்தி. ‘போராட்டம்’ நடத்தி கார்யத்தை ஸாதித்துக் கொள்ளும்போது என்ன ஆகிறது? “நாம் சக்தியைக் காட்டினால் பயப்பட்டுக்கொண்டு, கேட்டதைப் பண்ணுகிறார்களல்லவா? இன்னம் கொஞ்சம் மிரட்டிப் பார்ப்போம்” என்று புதுப்புது ரைட்கள் கொண்டாடிக் கொண்டு, மேலே மேலே டிமான்ட் செய்வதையே பார்க்கிறோம். தோற்றால் த்வேஷம் ஜாஸ்தியாகிறது என்றால், ஜயித்தாலோ ஆசையும் அஹங்காரமும் ஜாஸ்தியாகிறது. இதுவும் அழுக்குத்தான். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
The same distinction (between actions motivated and not motivated by religious guidance) can be observed even when the purpose of our actions is achieved. A religious person, on being blessed with the fruits of his efforts, feels he should not trouble the Divine Force anymore. There is atleast a little thought that God has been kind enough to grant him his desire and he should aim to repay God with true devotion and love. He should reduce his desires. He feels embarrassed to pray for fulfillment of more desires. So there is some cleansing of the mind. But what happens with the purely materialistic demonstrations? Once success is tasted, it goes into the head. It is felt that the authorities have succumbed to the threats and more and more ‘rights’ can be acquired in this manner.
