தெய்வ ஸம்பந்தம் போச்சோ இல்லையோ தர்ம ஸம்பந்தமும் போய்விட்டது. ‘நாங்களும் தெய்வத்தை நம்புகிறவர்கள்தான், ஆத்மாவை நம்புகிறவர்கள்தான்’ என்று மதச் சீர்திருத்தக்காரர்கள் சொல்லிப் பிரயோஜனமில்லை. தெய்வமானாலும், ஆத்மாவானாலும், எதுவானாலும் நேராக அந்த தெய்வ சக்தியினாலேயே inspiration பெற்று [உள் உந்துதல் பெற்று]ப் பரமத் தியாகிகளான ரிஷிகள், அல்லது மதாந்தரங்களின் மூல புருஷர்களாயிருக்கப்பட்ட Prophet-கள் ஒரு சாஸ்திரம் அல்லது பைபிள் அல்லது கொரான் என்று கொடுத்து அதுவும் அநுபவிகளான பல பூர்விகர்களால் அநுஷ்டிக்கப்பட்டு ஒரு tradition என்கிற weight-ஐப் பெற்றிருந்தால் அப்போது அதன்படியே நடந்தால்தான் தர்மமும், ஒழுக்கமும் இருக்கிறது. அந்தந்த தேசத்திலிருக்கிறவர்கள், “இதுதான் ஈஸ்வரன் நமக்கேயென்று கொடுத்திருக்கிற மார்க்கம். எந்த மார்க்கத்தில் போனாலும், ஒரு மார்க்கத்திலுமே போகாவிட்டாலும்கூட அவனைப் பிடித்து விடலாம் என்பது நிஜம் என்றே வைத்துக் கொண்டாலும், அவன் எப்போது எத்தனையோ ப்ளானோடு, ஆர்டரோடு பிரபஞ்ச வியவஹாரங்களை நடத்துவதில் நம்மை இன்ன இடத்தில் இன்ன ஸமயாசாரத்தில் பிறக்கப் பண்ணியிக்கிறானோ, அப்போது இங்கே அவன் கட்டளையாக எந்த சாஸ்திரம் இருக்கிறதோ அதை நாம் அநுஷ்டானம் செய்ய வேண்டுமென்பதுதான் அவன் சித்தம்” என்று புரிந்து கொண்டு (இப்படிப் புரிந்து கொள்வதுதான் நிஜமான விழிப்பு) அந்தப்படியே பண்ண வேண்டும். இப்படி அவரவருடைய பூர்விகர் போன ஆசார வழியில் போவதைத்தான், “ஸமயாசாரமேவ ச பூர்வை: ஆசரித: குர்யாத்: என்று சொன்னது. இவ்வாறு பண்ணாமாற்போனால் — “அந்யதா”, அதாவது வேறே வழியில் போனால் — “பதிதோ பவேத்”: விழுந்து விடுகிறான்.
விழுகிறான் என்றால் எப்படி? ஏணியின் நடுவில் ஏதோ ஒரு கட்டையில் நின்று கொண்டிருக்கிறான். படிப்படியாக மேலே கொண்டு போவதற்கு சாஸ்திரம் இருக்கிறது. ரிஃபார்ம்காரர், “ இப்படி இன்ச் இன்ச்சாக நீ ஏறுவதென்றால் ரொம்ப நாள் ஹீனஸ்திதியில் இருந்து கொண்டிருக்கணும், ஒரே தாவாக மேலே தாவு” என்று கிளப்பிவிட்டு இவன் நிற்கிற கட்டையை உடைத்து விடுகிறார். இவனுக்கா மேலே தாவுகிற சக்தி இல்லை. என்ன ஆகும்? இருக்கிற ஸ்திதியிலிருந்து இன்னம் கீழே விழவேண்டியதாகவே ஆகிறது. அந்யதா பதிதோ பவேத்: பதிதனாக, விழுந்தவனாக ஆகிறான். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
The moment we lost connection with Bhagawan the connection with virtues has also been lost. There is no substance in the claims of the religious reformers that they too believe in God and the Soul. The Rishis and prophets who established the religions derived Divine inspiration whether it was from the God or the Soul and gave the Saastras or the Bible or the Quran. These were followed by the experienced ancestors in each society, thus lending them the weight of tradition and in the process also protecting the code of conduct and virtue of the society. We may assume that one can attain God by not following a chosen path, but it is necessary that everyone should follow the path prescribed by God according to the place in which they are born since God, the master planner has devised the universal affairs with certain order in mind. It is His command that everyone should do so. This is what the scriptures state – if one fails to tread on the path of one’s ancestors, he is a fallen man. (Samayaachaarameva…….). How so? A person is standing on the middle step of the ladder and he has to move upward step by step, for which the scriptures give directions. The reformers provoke him to make a huge jump to the top declaring that this slow progression will keep him in a subservient state for a long time. Since he does not have the strength to take this huge leap, he falls down from where he is already standing. “Anyatha patito bhavet…..”.
