மனஸ் சுத்தம் டிஸிப்ளின் இல்லாமல் வராது. உள் டிஸிப்ளின் வெளி டிஸிப்ளின் இல்லாமல் வராது. ரூல்களும், ஃபார்மாலிடிகளும், வெளிக் கார்யங்களும், அந்தக் கார்யங்களைப் பொறுத்த அநேக வித்தியாஸங்களுமில்லாமல் வெளி டிஸிப்ளின் இல்லவேயில்லை. “மனஸ் சுத்தத்தை மட்டுந்தான் கவனிப்போம்” என்று நவீனர்கள் சொன்னாலும், இதில் யாரோ ஒன்று இரண்டு தலைவர்கள் மட்டும் வேண்டுமானால் அப்படியிருக்கக்கூடுமே தவிர மற்றவர்கள், “மனம் போனபடிதான் இருப்போம்” என்று ஆவதாகவே முடிந்திருக்கிறது! இதற்கு நான் தொண்டை தண்ணீர் போக இத்தனை சொல்ல வேண்டியதேயில்லை. ரிஃபார்ம், ரிஃபார்ம் என்று ஆரம்பித்த பின் தேசத்தில் டிஸிப்ளினே இல்லை என்பது எல்லாருக்கும் பட்டவர்த்தனமாகத் தெரிகிற விஷயம். ஆனாலும் ‘அதனால்தான் இது’ [சீர்திருத்தம் என்ற காரணத்தால்தான் கட்டுப்பாட்டுக் குலைவு என்ற விளைவு] என்பதை ஒப்புக் கொள்ள யாருக்கும் மனஸு வரவில்லை. – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
Purity of Mind cannot be achieved without discipline. Internal discipline cannot happen without external discipline. External discipline cannot be achieved without rules, formalities, and actions regarding those.
Though the modernists claim that purity of mind is enough, except for one or two exceptions, it has been found that the rest of them follow their hearts and are not subject to any discipline. I need not repeat myself hoarse to stress this point. Everyone is aware that discipline has become the casualty in this country, after the cries for reformation have started.
