கோமாதா ஸர்வ தேவதா ஸ்வரூபம் என்றால் நம்முடைய சிற்றறிவால் இன்னதென்றே கிரஹித்துக் கொள்ள முடியாமல் அல்லவா இருக்கிறது? ஒரே மலைப்பாக – பயம் கலந்த மலைப்பாக – இருக்கிறதே தவிர அன்போடு பக்தி பண்ணும்படியாக இல்லையே! அதனால் கோமாதாவைக் குறிப்பாக லக்ஷ்மி என்ற ஒரு தேவதையின் ஸ்வரூபமாகச் சொல்வது. கோ-ரக்ஷணம் என்பது ஜீவகாருண்யத்துக்கு ஜீவகாருண்யம்; அதுவே ஒரு “பெரிய லக்ஷ்மி பூஜையும்” ஆகும். வேதம் இருந்தால் தான் லோகமே நன்றாக இருக்கும்; லோக க்ஷேமமே இங்கே நம்முடைய தேசத்தில் செய்கிற வைதீகமான யஜ்ஞ கர்மானுஷ்டானாதிகளில் தான் இருக்கிறது. அதற்கு இரண்டு அவசியமானவை. ஒன்று யஜ்ஞம் பண்ணுகிற கர்த்தாவான ‘யஜமானன்’. இன்னொன்று யஜ்ஞத்தில் உபயோகமாகிற அதி முக்கியமான த்ரவ்யங்களைத் தருகிற கோ தான். ஆகையினால் கோ இல்லாவிட்டால் யஜ்ஞம், வேள்வி என்பதே இல்லை. கோவுக்குள் முப்பத்து முக்கோடி தேவர்களுமே அடக்கம். ஸகல புண்ணிய தீர்த்தங்களும் ஒரு பசுவுக்குள் இருக்கின்றன. நம்முடைய ஆலயம் ஒவ்வொன்றிலும் சில தெய்வங்களுக்கு ஸந்நிதிகள் இருக்கின்றன; அதைச் சேர்ந்ததாக ஒவ்வொரு புண்ணிய தீர்த்தம் இருக்கிறது. கோ என்பதோ அத்தனை தெய்வங்களும் அத்தனை புண்ணிய தீர்த்தங்களும் குடி கொண்ட ஆலயமாக இருக்கிறது. கோவே ஒரு நடமாடும் கோயில். ஸர்வ தேவதைகளுக்குமான மஹத்தான கோயில். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
If Gho Matha is mentioned as ‘Sarva Devatha Swaroopma’ it will be overwhelming as we cannot comprehend and also start fearing about it. That is the reason Gho Matha is said as ‘Lakshmi Devatha Swaroopam’. Gho Matha Samrakshanam is not only a Jeeva Karunya seva but also a ‘Big Lakshmi Puja’ as well. Vedas form the backbone of this universe. The world will be peaceful only if Vedas exists. The welfare of the world depends on the Vaidheeka Yajnas done in Bharatha Desam. Two things are important for this. The Kartha doing the Yagnam. The very important things that are given by Gho Matha’s are used in those Yagnas. So if there is no Gho Matha there are no Yajnas. All the 33 Crore Devathas reside within a Gho Matha. All the holy rivers are within a Gho Matha. In our temples there are sannidhis for different deities and there is a holy tank. But Gho Matha is a significant temple in which all the deities and all the holy rivers exist. – Pujya Sri Kanchi Maha Periyava
