எனக்கு அநாயாச மரணம் கிடைக்கணும்!
அறுபது வயதைத் தாண்டிய பக்தர்.
“எனக்கு அநாயாச மரணம் கிடைக்கணும்” என்று பெரியவாளிடம் விண்ணப்பித்துக் கொண்டார்.
அநாயாஸ மரணம் என்றால், நோய்வாய்ப்பட்டு, பல நாட்கள் படுக்கையில் கிடந்து குடும்பத்தில் உள்ளவர்களுக்கெல்லாம் துன்பம் கொடுத்து, பின் ஒருவழியாகப் போய்ச் சேர்வது என்றில்லாமல், சட்டென்று உயிர் போய்விடுவது என்பதாகும்.
“நீங்க தினமும் பூஜை செய்து முடிக்கும்போது சொல்கிற பிரார்த்தனை சுலோகம் – “அநாயேஸேன மரணம் விநா தைன்யேன ஜீவநம்! தேஹி மே க்ருபயா சம்போ த்வயி பக்திம் அசஞ்சலாம்!!”
இதைச் சொல்லிவிட்டு த்ரயம்பக மந்திரம் சொல்லிண்டிருங்கோ..” என்றார் பெரியவாள்.
பக்தர் பிரசாதம் பெற்றுக்கொண்டு காஞ்சிபுரத்தில் அவர் தங்கியிருந்த அறைக்குப் போய் கதவைத் திறந்து, நாற்காலியில் உட்காரும் வரை பெரியவாளுடைய ஆக்ஞைப்படி நடந்து கொண்டார்.
அடுத்த விநாடி, அவர் நாற்காலியில் சாய்ந்து விட்டார். அவர் விரும்பியபடி ‘அநாயாஸமாக’ப் போய்ச் சேர்ந்துவிட்டார்.
A sexagenarian devotee asked Periyava for an easy and peaceful death.
An easy and peaceful death means when, neither the person is bedridden and suffers for a long time nor the family members are troubled during someone’s last days. Death occurs easily without any pain and suffering.
Every day at the end of our prayer we must recite the “ANAYASA MANTRA” followed by the triambaka mantra told Periyava.

vinaa dynyena jeevanam
dehi mey krupayaa shambho
Thvayee bhakthim achanchalaam
The devotee received prasadam from Periyava and returned to his room at Kanchipuram. He followed Periyava’s advice until he opened the door and sat on the chair.
The very next second he collapsed on the chair. That’s it, as he wished he had an easy and peaceful death.
