Brahmarishi Parasurama Ganapadigal attained Vedhalokam

‘Brahmarishi’ Parasurama Ganapadigal, founder of Yagnavalkya Gurukulam, reached the lotus feet of Sri Mahaperiyava today. The centenarian served “The Vedas” till his last breath. Sri Mahaperiyava has said Parasurama Ganapadigal is a “Brahmarishi”!

Ganapatigal was born in Injikollai near Kumbakonam and studied Veda at Rameswaram Devasthana Patashala from Maha Mahopadyaya Krishnamoorthy Sastrigal & Rama Subba Sastrigal. He taught Brahadaranyaka upanishad to His Holiness Jayendra Saraswathi Swami of Kanchi Mutt in his poorvasrama and other Upanishads to Sri Kanchi Mutt Aasthana Vidhvan Sri Mayavaram Krishna Sastrigal. He has participated in many all India Vedic conferences and has been honored by Kanchi Mutt, Sringeri Mutt and Veda sabhas across India.
