பயமும் அபயமும் ஒன்றுக்கொன்று எதிரானது. அதனால் பயத்தின் ஸ்தாபனம் மோக்ஷதிற்கு எதிராக இருக்க வேண்டும். மோக்ஷம் என்றால் ‘விடுபட்ட நிலை’. அதற்கு எதிர் ‘கட்டுப்பட்ட நிலை’. இதைப் ‘பந்தம்’ என்பார்கள். ‘பந்த மோக்ஷம்’ என்று சொல்வது வழக்கம். லோக வாழ்க்கையான சம்சாரம் தான் பந்தம். சம்சார பந்தம் என்று சேர்த்தே சொல்கிறோமல்லவா? – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
Fear and Fearless are opposites of each other. The basis of fear should be opposite to Moksha. Moksha means ‘free of bondage’; the opposite of it is ‘Within the bondage’. This is called as being ‘Bonded’ (Bandham). There is a term called as ‘Bandha Moksha’. This wordly life of Samsara is called Bondage (Bandham).
