If the female cow offers the food directly as milk, the bull slogs in the field during farming and gives food through greens and grains. Like this the entire cattle species happens to be feeding the stomach of human species. For that sake we ought to show immense gratitude and Bhakthi towards them. I’m sure most of you recall these rishabams rescued from slaughter house near my home on Bakrid eve couple of months back (See those posts HERE and HERE). As I had mentioned during that time, one of the rishabams was standing non-stop in the slaughter house for around 20 days without any food/water. The other 4 bulls that were rescued also endured similar agony though their stay at slaughterhouse was of lesser duration.
Where are they now and what are they up to? From a wretched position they are now leading a peaceful life in an organic farmer’s place near Thiruvallur (which we are tracking monthly). See those beautiful pictures below. As a main note, I’m sure we all remember the massive protests and huge uproar all over Tamizh Nadu on Jallikattu issue few years back. It kind of died there but what people need to realize is there are so many Jallikattu and farming/ploughing bulls (which I believe is far more important than Jallikattu) that are slaughtered left, right and center every day. What we managed to save are a few; Innocent, young, gentle, bubbly rishabams ready to work on paddy fields tirelessly for the welfare of mankind and what does man give back in return? Send them mercilessly for killing !?
I’m very glad that we were able to save these few rishabams just before their lives were about to be taken away cruelly and now they are doing yeomen service for the mankind in the best possible way they can. Pics below.
