I am very saddened to hear about the demise of Sivasri Rajappa Gurukkal mama two days back. It seems that it was a hit and run case. As you all know mama has been associated with Sri Matam for generations and he has been doing kainkaryam ordained by Mahaperiyava’s days and he still continues. He has been instrumental for doing nithya puja in so many Sivan temples in Kanchipuram district. On Deepawali day, he will do Ganga snanam for all swamis and take that Prasadam to Mahaperiyava. I know that he has been working closely with Smt Mahalakshmi mami on several kumbabishekam projects. including the one that we all supported – Lakshmeeswarar-Karkeeswarar.

It is very unfortunate that we lost mama in this sudden way. I am sure Mahaperiyava and Lord Parameswaran blesses the departed soul.
