ஒரு பிள்ளையார் கோயிலில் ஒருநாள் பூப்பந்தலெல்லாம் போட்டு, மிக அழகாக அலங்காரம் செய்து உற்சவம் செய்து அந்த புகைப்படங்களை ஒருவர் பெரியவா பார்வைக்கு எடுத்து வந்தார்.

“ரொம்ப நன்னாருக்கே அலங்காரம்!” என்று ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார் பெரியவா.

அலங்காரமெல்லாம் ஓர் இஸ்லாமியர் செய்தது என்று வந்தவர் கூறியதும் பெரியவா அகமகிழ்ந்தார்.

“ எல்லாரும் இப்படித்தான் வித்தியாசம் பார்க்காமல் ஒற்றுமையாக இருக்கணும். அந்தப் பெரியவரை முடிந்தால் என்னை வந்து பார்க்கச் சொல்லு!” என்றார் பெரியவா.

எந்தப் பிரபுவைப் பார்க்க பிரதமர் முதல் ஜனாதிபதி வரை எல்லோரும் காத்திருக்கிறார்களோ அவர், தன்னைப் பார்க்க விரும்புவது தெரிந்ததும் ‘எனக்கு இப்படி ஒரு பாக்கியமா!’ என்று நினைத்த இஸ்லாமிய அன்பர், பெரியவாளிடம் உடனே வந்தார்.

அவரிடம், “ இப்படி மத வேற்றுமை பாராட்டாமல் நல்ல காரியங்களுக்கு உதவுகிறீர்கள். ஆனால் உங்கள் மத அனுஷ்டானங்களை விடாமல் செய்து வருகிறீர்களா? என்று கேட்டார். அவரும் “எனக்கு நம்பிக்கை உண்டு முடிந்தவரை விடாமல் பண்ணுகிறேன்!” என்றார். “எத்தனை முறை தொழுகை செய்வீர்கள்?” என்பதற்கு, ‘ஐந்து முறை’ என்றார் அந்த அன்பர்.

“இல்லை! உங்களுக்கு ஆறு காலத் தொழுகை உண்டு. நபிகள் நாயகம் அப்படித்தான் பண்ணி வந்தார்! ஆறாவது நடுநிசியில் பண்ணவேண்டிய தொழுகை. அந்த நேரம் ஜனங்கள் தூங்கி விடுவதால் விட்டுப் போய்விட்டது போலும்! என்றார் பெரியவா. இஸ்லாமிய அன்பர் வியப்பிலாழ்ந்தார்.

“நான் ஏதோ தெரிந்ததைச் சொன்னேன். நீ உன் மதாச்சாரியர்களிடம் இதை உறுதிப்படுத்திக் கொண்டு முடிந்தால் கடைப்பிடிக்கலாமே” என்றார் பெரியவா அடக்கமே உருவாக!

சர்வக்ஞன், சர்வ வியாபியான பரம்பொருள் பெரியவா!

 

In a Pillayar Kovil, some festival was conducted. A Pandal was erected and the flower decorations were done very well. A man took some photographs and went to Periyava with them.

“The decorations are beautiful!”, said Periyava, full of surprise. When the man informed Periyava that these decorations were done by a Mohammedan, Periyava was very glad.

Everybody should shed differences like this and be united. Ask that gentleman to come and see me, if possible.

When that gentleman was informed of this, he was glad that he had this fortune. After all, important persons like Presidents and Prime Ministers were waiting for the Darshan of Periyava. He came to see Periyava immediately.

To him, Periyava said, “Without caring about religious divides and are doing such good work. But are you following the rituals of your own religion ?”
To that, he replied, “I believe, I’m doing it to the extent possible”
“How many times do you do Namaz?”
“Five times”

“No, you need to do Namaz six times. This was followed by Nabigal Nayagam. The sixth one is to be done at midnight. Since people generally are asleep at this time, the practice was slowly discontinued”, said Periyava.
The Mohammedan gentleman was amazed.

“I have told this to you with what little knowledge I have. You can confirm this with the senior authorities in your religion and start following it, if possible”, said Periyava, in all humility.

Periyava is omniscient.
